You popped up on my 'recommended' I loveca good renovation so subscribed straight away. To go through all that junk would be heaven for me. That house is going to be very special. I'm looking forward to it, but be safe!
I would have to empty it all out! Some items you can put in storage until you have some rooms renovated to store them. You have a big job on your hands for sure! Hello from the UK! 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I'm excited to watch your progress , I know it will be beautiful. Please don't do any time lapses I want to see everything you do , I don't want to miss anything from land clearance to house clean out and repair . So glad I came across your channel. I've subscribed and will give lots of likes. ❤❤❤ Good Luck 😊
Thanks for the comments, so far we are aiming to talk a little less, do more timelapses but I like your idea. I think I can try a blend of realtime and lapsed time as well.
Wow this is amazing. You have a unique challenge with sorting through all of that stuff. Hopefully in all that mess you will find lots of items to better tell the story of the family and the property. Looking forward to following!
The wall with the two pains of glass window which has a angle to the glasss is sound proofing usually used in recording studios. The dolls that were on a shelf are from Vietnam they were usually bought by service men who served in the vietnam war. Just becareful of the possibilty the guy who owned the house mably have hidden weapons in walls or other places epecially check for handgrenades !!
Wow! You two have monumental tasks ahead of you. The house is very interesting and has much potential. You are very brave. Glad to hear next time you make an entry, you'll have proper PPE. Best of luck and I will subscribe.
This house is incredible. I'd have a field day going threw the stuff I hope you save all the antiques and don't throw those box fans away you can't buy a fan like those anymore they work amazing
Dang just found your channel today and would love to go through that house! Gloves respirator a must!! Cold house. Can’t wait to see your progress! Will follow it all👍
I've been through a hoarders house before, it's worth looking through everything. The one I went through had thousands and thousands of dollars worth of unbuilt model kits just scattered everywhere amongst the random stuff.
THOSE ARE DOUBLE DEAD BOLTS, I'D LOOK FOR SOME KEYS HANGING ON THE WALLS, IN A DRAWER NEAR THE DOOR.THOSE DOUBLE DEAD BOLTS ARE THE REASON NOTHINGS BEEN STOLEN. YOU HAVE TO HAVE KEY TO GET IN, AND OUT. COMPUTER ROOM, AND KITCHEN WOULD BE MY FIRST PLACES TO LOOK FOR KEYS.. ANY DESKS, DRESSERS IN THE MOST ACCESSIBLE LOCATIONS. PEOPLE USUALLY HANG KEYS FOR DOUBLE DEADBOLTS NEAR DOOR, OR IN A DRAWER NEAR DOOR, OR LEAVE THEM IN THELOCK INSIDE. ALL THOSE OLD TV'S, AND MONITORS WILL BE HARDEST ITEMS TO GET RID OF, SEE IF THERE'S A RECYCLER NEAR YOU. SOME OLD COMPUTERS ARE WORTH BIG MONEY. THAT PLACE IS HUGE. IF YOU HAVE A EXCAVATOR, OR BACKHOE I'D DIG A HOLE FOR A BURN PIT, AND BURN A BUNCH OF THAT PAPER WASTE. CHECK EBAY MIGHT BE SURPRIZED WHAT SOME OF THAT STUFFS WORTH.
Your channel showed up in my feed. Watched it and subscribed. Looking forward to all the upcoming work. Love the original woodwork and fireplaces. Thanks for letting us come along.
Wow you have your work cut out for you. Looking forward to seeing the progress. At 25:42 there is a vintage fisher price airplane on the top of a piece of furniture. Depending on condition vintage fisher price toys are very collectable. There may be hidden gems hiding that will help with the cost of the renovation.
Wow this is going to be a fantastic video to watch can't wait to see how it looks when you get the cleanup.l will be watching your progress....just subscribed.
There's so much junk, yet you have some amazing antique furniture and collectibles. Be careful when you start to clean all the junk out. I saw antique hope chest, chairs, dressers etc...
Quite a big house... ... interesting to say the least... cleaning will take some time. i will tag along to see how it works out for you,, cheers from Australia...
First time I have seen your channel, in the room where your wife found the Christmas figure and maybe a couple of dolls, I saw a book lying on a chair. I have the same book, it's called Off the Beaten Path!
Many similarities between this place and mine. Same roof even! The tiny door to the upstairs giant storage room was to let a minimal amount of cold/hot air in/out, but it seems like that room is an addition or above a summer kitchen. Back then people were taxed on how many rooms were in the house, which is why many have a big unfinished room like that. Sometimes, they were hidden as well. Mine was! We turned it into a bedroom. It was never finished like yours.
There is an old camel back trunk in the front room with the slanted glass window that is valuable. Chippershreader will help alot unless you can burn outdoors. Find an electronics recycler ,you have alot . Will be watching and good luck!
You all should be wear mask for sure. I think once you clear all the crap out it will be a nice home again. Alot of work but will be worth it. Get a roll of garbage bin dropped off. ❤
Omg I got excited at the thought of suiting up and working my way through this disaster looking for possible treasures. Maybe I'm a little odd but hey, dead racoons and crap aside, it would be an adventure.
Did you know the people that had this house? When you get it all cleaned out hopefully the bones are good and you can help it come back to life. That house just keeps going. Some really good finds in.
First thing id do is clear the shrubs and yard out front and on the side. One, to detour explorers and vandals, two, to allow easier access for rubbish removal! Might find sidewalks and a driveway...ya never know
Great video. Thanks for sharing. My biggest concern is where can i dump all the trash and how much will it cost. Maybe you could build your own Mt Trashmore. Many communities pay corporations to move to their town. Maybe they should pay citizens to restore old buildings ,
They have plastic inlays so no but the wall might be. They will all get torn out as the subfloor is failing underneath now that I've been in the basement. Will for sure recreate it as original as possible
You are in an old funeral home this is why the doors in the house are extra wide all the way through the home to make way for the gigantic coffins and the window you are wondering about is actually a viewing window which at one time would have been on the outside of the house for Dr UPS,who didn't want to enter the funeral home itself. I'm sure there are hookups in the basement for and incriminator probably a stack and different things for the mortuary itself. If you have any questions just call I know a lot about these things I was raised in one LOL. My father bought two of them in Indianapolis Indiana cheap, and turn them into homes
Live in it eventually, it's kitty corner from our house but actually in a different school district. So our littles will have to be closer to graduating, but it might take that long anyways!
It’ll take a while and a lot of hard work, but looks like the house actually has really good bones and it will come out beautifully once it’s all done.😊
I’m so excited to be able to watch this from the beginning to the end. You’re so good to be taking this on and transforming this and keeping it from dying. Is your plan to live in this house?
This is at least as bad as the Old Byrd Farm and almost as rotten. Definitely worse than anything Curiosity Inc. have ever done on their channel. Watching this get cleared out is going to be absolutely fascinating! Good luck!
That place looks good compared to a old Vet neighbor man that passed away in June this year. You can't walk in his house and yard is about as bad. The worse house you saw on the Hoarders show is his house !! So far the nephew has found 22 guns and hasn't come close to clearing the inside.
The man who lived there was most likely a soldier. Just take a look very carefully as he may have hidden anything brought back from war eg Hand Gren ades. ! He may have bricked up bad things in the fireplaces so maybe drill holes and use a scope to check the spaces behind before laying into bricks with a sledgehammer as it might go bang!
That is crazy! Why would anyone let their home go? It looks like the left door entering the front is like a waiting room. since he used to run his business from there. And that room behind the glass was his office. he could see when a client arrived etc.
Agree but wow is it so small, I don't know what the goal was where they entered, maybe the rest of the house was set up as some sort of gallery although it's hard to imagine
The Dolls on the shelf together are from vietnam and usually brought back by soldiers who served in the Vietnam W ar. They van be worth a lot of money.
I just found your channel and subscribed. We are in the process of restoring a 66000 sqft old shoe factory on TH-cam. Good luck with your project and just curious what state are you in. Thanks Bob
@Goodmans_FR It's called Cold war mercantile. The channel belongs to my friend Chris him and I get into all kinds of mischief on the channel trying to restore this old building. The project is in Illinois.
You guys absolutely need to be wearing a high quality face mask/ respirator inside that house. Raccoons feces carry roundworm, which can be lethal to humans.
Wow! Must feel overwhelming with all the junk. I would have to take it like eating the elephant one bite at a time. But you can see the beauty and history beyond the mess.
You have a lot to clean but it will look great. Also the outside needs a lot of cleaning. Yes please wear gloves and masks. You will need many dumpsters.
I'm not a mask guy didn't wear it during covid but hey when you're in a place like that you really need to wear masks because of all of the animals that were defecating in there so until you get all that stuff cleaned out definitely wear masks while working in there
RESPIRATORS. GOGGLES. Every time you go in the house until it is clean. because it is full of mold, mildew, bacteria, Spores, viruses, DUST of all kinds, ALLERGENS. SAVE YOUR HEALTH. I mean it. I have seen many people become permanently sick from cleaning old houses.
Wow! So impressive. That house just keeps going and going! I bet you can make it beautiful! Please be safe!
I would take my time going through things as you are cleaning out. There will probably be some goodies!
That window looks like a radio studio. Excellent video!!
Thank you!
I can't wait till you start working on this house. This is going to be an awesome project. This place is definitely a diamond and the rough.
Appreciate that, it's going to be a long process but we're going to try and get to something every week
You popped up on my 'recommended' I loveca good renovation so subscribed straight away. To go through all that junk would be heaven for me. That house is going to be very special. I'm looking forward to it, but be safe!
Definitely need a part 2 lol just found your channel subscribed because you have me invested
We are going to try and do a post a week, plenty of stuff to do just trying to find the time
I would have to empty it all out! Some items you can put in storage until you have some rooms renovated to store them. You have a big job on your hands for sure! Hello from the UK! 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I didnt feel like straightening my house up today lol, seeing what you have to deal with Im inspired today lol😂😂
HAHAHA, glad to provide some inspiration

Would love to find some old pictures or information for sure!
The wall with the two pains of glass window which has a angle to the glasss is sound proofing usually used in recording studios. I see "good" antique furniture in the attic. I also see a globe I want. Those screen doors!!!
I’ve just found your channel. The house is stunning with so much potential. I hope you found lots of goodies to keep or sell.
Thanks so much! 😊
Your channel showed up in my feed. Watched it and subscribed. Looking forward to all the upcoming work. Love the original woodwork and fireplaces. Thanks for letting us come along.
Good luck looking forward to seeing everything you do to improve this house
Just found your channel and couldn't wait to subscribe! Keep the videos coming, we'll be here waiting.

I saw that plane! I'll put it aside and keep the kids away from it!
Wow this is going to be a fantastic video to watch can't wait to see how it looks when you get the cleanup.l will be watching your progress....just subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing and for the nice comment

The giant doll in the attic is an infant cpr doll., its used to teach nurses how to do cardio pulmonary resuscitation. very expensive.
Many similarities between this place and mine. Same roof even! The tiny door to the upstairs giant storage room was to let a minimal amount of cold/hot air in/out, but it seems like that room is an addition or above a summer kitchen. Interesting thanks for the information
Looking forward to seeing you guys change this mess!
There is an old camel back trunk in the front room with the slanted glass window that is valuable. Chippershreader will help alot unless you can burn outdoors. Find an electronics recycler ,you have alot . Will be watching and good luck!
Wait till the 4th episode with regards to burning outdoors lol
Welcome to the exciting world of historic preservation! Enjoy the process of cleaning up and bringing it back to life.
The slanted glass windows are usually used on sound proof rooms in recording studios.
That's exactly what I was thinking of, and the raised floor fits in too, installed for soundproofing.
Hopefully you will post more soon. Looking forward to seeing the clean up. An hearing more about the history of it.
I haven't seen a four poster waterbed in probably 40 years that's insane dudes the dressers and everything go with it
You all should be wear mask for sure. I think once you clear all the crap out it will be a nice home again. Alot of work but will be worth it. Get a roll of garbage bin dropped off. ❤
Definitely leave the library room like it is just paint the walls & shelves a dark color w light trim woukd be moody. Very beautiful wood.
Haha that’s actually the plan, I give credit to Kerrie she wants to refinish what’s there as well
@Goodmans_FR The woodwork is beautiful.
Omg I got excited at the thought of suiting up and working my way through this disaster looking for possible treasures. Maybe I'm a little odd but hey, dead racoons and crap aside, it would be an adventure.
I actually really like that library....
Speaking of MASK, there’s no way I’d be in there without one.
Might find sidewalks and a driveway...ya never know
I've already started working on that, actually, you'll see more in the next episode.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. My biggest concern is where can i dump all the trash and how much will it cost. Maybe you could build your own Mt Trashmore. Many communities pay corporations to move to their town. Maybe they should pay citizens to restore old buildings ,
Could you have pulled the hinge pins and then disassemble the locks?
Going to try that on the front doors maybe, they are still locked with what looks to be skeleton style keys
Those doors and wall you want to get rid off is the original to the house
The doors don't look to be, the wall probably is. I'd guess either pocket doors or double doors like in the library.
They have plastic inlays so no but the wall might be. They will all get torn out as the subfloor is failing underneath now that I've been in the basement. Will for sure recreate it as original as possible
Some things are valuable, like old computers, cameras, and antique furniture! Good luck on your adventure 😂
Thank you!
New follower bc of this vlog! As a former RV owner...waiting to see that winny reveal. 😅❤
Found the folder on it the other day, was $50,000 new in 1987, what a shame
Dairylea, now that's a blast from the past. The one in Champlain, where I'm from shut down about 45 years ago.
Yes I remember when they were around, we also found some buckets from Grossman's hardware in the episode we're working on now.
The wooden boat kits and parts might be worth some money as there are collectors. Same with some of the dolls.
You are in an old funeral home this is why the doors in the house are extra wide all the way through the home to make way for the gigantic coffins and the window you are wondering about is actually a viewing window which at one time would have been on the outside of the house for Dr UPS,who didn't want to enter the funeral home itself. If you have any questions just call I know a lot about these things I was raised in one LOL. My father bought two of them in Indianapolis Indiana cheap, and turn them into homes
Looking forward to see how this goes, are you doing it to live in and do you have building or renovation experience?
Live in it eventually, it's kitty corner from our house but actually in a different school district. So our littles will have to be closer to graduating, but it might take that long anyways!
Does military boots are actually the best winter boots ever made they're awesome
It’ll take a while and a lot of hard work, but looks like the house actually has really good bones and it will come out beautifully once it’s all done.😊
Thanks it will be beautiful someday we are committed!
I’m so excited to be able to watch this from the beginning to the end. You’re so good to be taking this on and transforming this and keeping it from dying. Is your plan to live in this house?
Someday yes we will live there
This is at least as bad as the Old Byrd Farm and almost as rotten. Definitely worse than anything Curiosity Inc. have ever done on their channel. Watching this get cleared out is going to be absolutely fascinating! Good luck!
Thanks!
Looks like a cool piece or real estate.
1st. Step: order a DUMPSTER.
That place looks good compared to a old Vet neighbor man that passed away in June this year. You can't walk in his house and yard is about as bad. The worse house you saw on the Hoarders show is his house !! So far the nephew has found 22 guns and hasn't come close to clearing the inside.

Good call but he was actually a high school principal, still will look out for anything thanks!

Just saw this after commenting, I will look into that, he did spend a lot of time in Asia bringing high school kids over for trips
My Motorhome doesnt Smell! Phew...😂
How long has it been empty? Great show!
Roughly 12 years
Please... DO NOT EVER put your face into what could be the escape route for a frightened feral animal...
Great vid
Looks like you have a lot of hard work ahead of you
I’d love to have that model boat found on the shelf
I'll stick it aside!
I just found your channel and subscribed. We are in the process of restoring a 66000 sqft old shoe factory on TH-cam. Good luck with your project and just curious what state are you in. Thanks Bob
Wow what’s your channel? We want to watch
@Goodmans_FR It's called Cold war mercantile. The channel belongs to my friend Chris him and I get into all kinds of mischief on the channel trying to restore this old building. The project is in Illinois.
@@Goodmans_FR the channel for the old Buster Brown Shoe Company just changed their name to "brick and sole"
Those servant stairs
You guys absolutely need to be wearing a high quality face mask/ respirator inside that house. Raccoons feces carry roundworm, which can be lethal to humans.
Get a locksmith for those deadbolts
What a horrendous task. Are you the new owner?
That was the ghost trying to keep her out lol
We thought the same thing!
Wow, someone really did a trash number on the house.
Wow! Must feel overwhelming with all the junk. I would have to take it like eating the elephant one bite at a time. But you can see the beauty and history beyond the mess.
Love your name, there is an old trolley bed that runs through my dads farm
You have a lot to clean but it will look great. Also the outside needs a lot of cleaning. Yes please wear gloves and masks. You will need many dumpsters.
Literally felt dizzy watching this, the constant moving and spinning of the camera 🤢
The collectibles in the house may be worth more than what you paid for the house!!
I always do she has a good eye!
It feels Spooky to me.
Wow I hope that you didn’t pay anything for that place! You will put in so much labor and money you will never get out of it.
Check every page of the books . Sometimes there is money hid in them .😊
I've been told the same, we are looking!
A man with secrets…
I'm not a mask guy didn't wear it during covid but hey when you're in a place like that you really need to wear masks because of all of the animals that were defecating in there so until you get all that stuff cleaned out definitely wear masks while working in there
I like dolls and would love them
You need to wear masks. The mold spores and mouse droppings!!! :0. Dangerous
Bought high quality respirators within three days of making the first video!
Thanks Slow camera please, or head spin. Big job.
Your wife is a hoot.

Watching part 2. Can you please wipe off your lense? Looking through a fog isn't fun. If episode 3 is clearer I'll subscribe!
Noted I will change my phone case out
Please dont make everything grey and white.

Oh this might happen, stay tuned…….
Ok there are people that will buy vintage clothing
Yeah, anything that can be washed might sell.
