  • Hi guys. Today we create the famous Greek (or Hellenic more accurately) warship named Trireme. Trireme was the ascendant of the naval warfare for about four centuries and the dominator of the greatest naval battle of all time (Salamis 480BC).
THERE ARE NO PLANS. The dimensions of the deck -- 60cm, | 10cm, / 13cm
I used wooden barbeque skewers of 2mm and 3mm, popsicle sticks, balsa sticks and hard cable for the stern.
    I painted with acrylics
    - Sails (5/6 titanium white, 1/6 raw sienna)
    - Prow (5/6 red, 1/6 black)
    - Deck, hull, oars and mast (4/6 raw sienna, 2/6 burnt sienna)
    I used sprays
    - Seats (burnt sienna)
    - Ram (metallic silver))
Special thanks to Hellenic Navy for giving me the permission to visit this
    wonderful ship during pandemic.
Many thanks to Lieutenant Commander Aliki Kourkoulou HN for her assistance.
Special thanks to Chulain Music for the tracks. Subscribe to his channel for more epic music.

To be honest, I followed the instructions in this video because I didn't think it was possible to get such a great looking model from such simple materials. I was wrong! While there were a couple of steps I had to think through the build went amazingly went. I'm making a second one because the first had several builder (me) flaws and this is a great model. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other models.

This is perfect, thank you so much! Your video helped me a lot to build an amazing analogue prototype before I could start to develop my 3D model in Blender 🥰

I am getting ready to build this with my daughter! Thank you for the instruction? What kind of wire did you utilize for the sails?

Outstanding video. What material is the curved tail made off? it seems different than the skeewers or dowels used for the sides and deck.
