i, deputy booth While conducting stationary radar on the I-1 highway, I observed a black Ford Mustang traveling at a high rate of speed down Popular Street. The vehicle’s speed was visually estimated to be well above the posted limit and confirmed by pacing the vehicle. I initiated pursuit to conduct a traffic stop, reaching speeds of approximately 100 MPH as I attempted to close the distance. The pursuit occurred during inclement weather, with rain causing wet road conditions. The suspect vehicle disregarded multiple traffic signals and intersections, showing reckless disregard for public safety. The wet conditions caused the suspect vehicle to hydroplane before crashing into a curb near the intersection of Crusade Road and Popular Street. After the crash, the driver, an adult male, exited the vehicle and exhibited aggressive behavior. When I attempted to detain him, the suspect resisted arrest and engaged in physical confrontation. I issued verbal commands for compliance, which were ignored. there was a passenger in the vehicle that exited and complied to all commands but the male replied "ima tase you". Due to the immediate threat posed by the suspect's aggression, I deployed my department issued Taser to subdue him. The Taser deployment was successful, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
