Father's Day fishing trip Lake Anna, Va. Jigging catfish, perch, bass

Take a kid fishing. Fishing doesn't always go the way you plan, but when I spend time with my son fishing, it seems that every trip is a success. On this Father's Day fishing trip we tried jigging with a shad spoon. I squirted some Shad flavored Smelly Jelly on the jig. I caught tons of white perch. Many were snagged while attacking the jig. We also caught a large mouth bass and several channel catfish. My son and I camped on our boat. Tommy has a little one-boy tent we pitch on the deck.
