I have known Dan since I was a little kid watching him, my mom, and my dad drag race at Phenix Drag Strip in Phenix City, AL in the 1980's. This man has done more with less and you will never hear him complain about it. This man is still drag racing cars down the 1/4 and 1/8 mile.

I always hated working on a race car at tracks like what he crashed at, with GAPS in the retaining walls - a lot of us know that metal guard rails, open gates or gaps have never really helped anybody.. that's for sure, but anyways - he's a really great guy and it was really cool to see this on Steve Harvey and see how he ended up recovering because that wreck was just absolutely horrific ☹
But it was great to see him doing well here, felt good to see this! 😊😊😊
Made me tear up I'm not going to lie! Also love seeing Steve hit the arm rest, going damn, that was slick :-) love it!

God, if that isn't the most emotional thing I've seen in a LONG time - I remember when his crash happened (those DAMN GAPS IN THE RETAINING WALL) -- I was working on Pro Extreme (just glad I didn't see it happen)

It’s a great device. As a visually impaired person I wish I could afford one. Even with the $400 discount it’s still expensive

I don't know him. Never heard of him before watching this clip. Came here to learn more about OrCam for my mom. Cool story though, glad he is doing well after that horrific crash.

Devices like the OrCam are reason enough to elevate Artificial Intelligence algorithms to the next level... and it's in devices like the OrCam MyEye we'll see some truly remarkable support systems developed for the blind and other tragic human maladies. Isaac Asimov's' dictum that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic will be evidenced when AI makes that next big leap into medical technology.

OrCam MyEye 2 improves a person's quality of life, allowing them to read text, recognize faces, identify products and more, but does not improve the wearer's eyesight.
