A charming movie, with beautiful scenery. I was on that shore near Penzance, where that small island lies in the sea, in Dec. 2019.
Nice to watch a film with no cellphones, wine drinking and the f word all the time.

I love Angela Lansbury.. 😊 I find her to be an actress who manages to convey serenity, love, true sweetness and the strength of life like no other
She made an excellent workout video too, gentle for those of us who couldn't quite keep up with the Jane Fonda or even Richard Simmons workouts in the same era.

I love her. She always reminds me of my Mother. Another English rose that came to America, in looks they could be sisters, in gentleness and and manner they are so alike. Seeing her in this is like being able to spend time with her again. My Dad always said she was so like her too.

With the witch I had for a step-mother and the absentee father who didn't want me, I have never had anyone give 2 hoots about me. That is ok though I grew up just fine. Lived with a great man who I am still with today, it's been 33 years and we are still as united as the first time we met.
Ive watched this beautiful woman from Gas Light to now, and this was the best of the best, as we grow older we reflect what we have done in the past and she portrayed this so beautifully. GOD bless her She was beautiful inside and out.
This was a good movie, but those kids, whew, she had way more patience than I would have.
After reading the book many times it was great to see this adaptation, Angela Lansbury exemplified the core of the book and left me feeling much like the book did ❤

My son is good and respectful and we enjoy each other I think , Very thankful . But none of my 3 have the same faith or any Faith which worries me and also is lonely but like Pen. I live my life ...
Keep living oneday at a time. Pray for them and reassure them that you love them unconditionally. They need to make their own choices and when we see them making bad ones it is so very difficult. I can empathise with you. Live the best life you can. May God bless you and your family

Poor Nancy! There's a Dolly or a Donny or both, in every family, it seems, turning everybody against each other, making the whole world so miserable. They are called narcissists.
I feel so much for Nancy and NOah. And happy that this movie had a happy ending. It seldom happens in real life. People go to their graves not knowing what happened to them, asking, WHY?.

It depends on how you raise your own children ! What you put into them, you receive from them. Children are the product, largely, of their parents input into their lives. If your children are selfish, that's largely your fault.! We have given our sons everything they needed , and wanted, in their lives so far. If they had to wait, we explained what was possible and not possible. We've always been honest with them, and they have accepted that graciously. They are kind, caring, loving , gentle and completely unselfish, They tell us how much they love us, and show us that love all the time. In short, they reciprocate to us, exactly what we have put into them. We're very blessed with our sons. Maybe you should rethink your own behaviours, instead of blaming 'societal trends'?? Just a thought 🤔
