Fundamental changes are required in Jamaica. All the government agencies should be interconnected.The government can afford to spend the money to get the necessary technology going. When I retired and move back to Jamaica after living in the U.S for over 50 years I always wondered why people in Jamaica hated the police so much until I encountered with them and found out that Jamaican police has no respect for Jamaican citizens, even if it’s to go into a police station to ask a simple question they speak to you as though you’re a criminal. They have no professional courtesy or ethics, it’s very hard to speak or reason with them, and the sad thing is when they disrespect you there’s no one to turn to. Also I’ve realized that there’s no customer service especially with government agencies in Jamaica. No law no order. So I’ve decided to sell my house and even take a big loss and get out of Jamaica as soon as possible, it’s a shame I feel more comfortable in a white mans country than my own.
