Hi Jeff, I had 2 shows this weekend of 4 sets each. Last night was a end at 9pm and drive an hour to get home, wake up and be ready to sing at 3pm the following day. I'd been out of it for a few weeks due to closing and reopening of our live scene. I could not sing this morning without feeling I had a layer blocking my voice, it was "push through" or don't hit the note. I did 2 or 3 of your warm ups, had 1 or 2 songs slightly bumpy start but after that I was A4away for the rest of my gig. Your techniques are great. Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge. This baritone is slowly adding more higher notes to his range and happy about it 😁
That's awesome! Nice work gigging so much! What fun! Take good care of your voice and enjoy the channel. Keep me up to date on how it's all going! Best, Jeff
@@JeffRolka I reply often to let you know you've helped me... AND to let others see positive comments because your techniques WORK! It just takes patience and effort... sometimes we don't feel like doing warm ups, and getting the voice ready, but take it from me, someone who threw himself into a new ballgame of being on my own on stage and singing songs i'd never done before... JEFF has made the experience really enjoyable!
Very helpful; thanks Jeff. I've had vocal issues lately as well. I appreciate videos like this. I have also had good results lately by regular steaming.
There is a very helpful medicine, "Dyfesa", it totally clears the vocal apparatus from any infection. It works for sinusitis too. It is very expensive.
Thank you so much for this video, it's come at the perfect time! I particularly appreciate the added explanation of technique and accompanying analysis, it really helps! 💛
Hi Mr. Rolka, first, thank you for these fine videos. So much of what you are talking about..the mechanisms underlying my singing voice are unclear… I wonder.. do you have a video that breaks down the how’s/ why’s of the voice? This would give me a better understanding around my singing voice. I would be all about learning about the anatomy of my voice. Thanks again!
I tend to yawn a lot when singing. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, perhaps breathing wrong? Is this common for others? How can I help it or prevent it from happening as often? Thanks.
Yawn responses can be triggered by facial expression, and if you have a neutral expression during your vocalisations (desirable) that could be part of it. There could be some breathing things going on too, but that would require further information/evaluation. Consider those items and let me know what you find! Thanks for watching and chiming in! Jeff
Note for self: Too much cuts for explanations -> SKIP THAT ONE
Without any further ado at 1:43 😉 (lip trill) 5:22 (we sound) Thanks Jeff! 🐯

You should go through his previous videos on his channel, I think Jeff has those
Costant small steps arrive to everywhere.
