I can tell a North East accent when I one lol. Bit stronger than mine so you must Geordie lol. Works looks brilliant mate. I want to give this a go myself. Looking at a course and maybe give it a go on my small wall with s&c render.
I've never seen that. Paint and dec. Whenever I see 're during done its sponge finished and appears lumpy in direct sunlight. Highlighted even more after painting. That's a beautiful finish.
Hi Bruce! it was a 6mm Scratch float. wouldn't recommend using it on ordinary sand and cement! as the other is factory batched and all you do is add water and mix, every thing that needs to be in there is and more to get required scratch or scraped finish. Thanks
Hi Keith, thanks for the vid tutorial, love the finish. Can you do the scratch method with plain sand/cement render? - Was that a 6mm or 8mm scratch tool you used in the video? Thanks so much, Bruce in Australia
HEY BUDDY!!! could this render scratcher tool be used on an internal rendered wall to provide a key for multifinish plaster??? it seems to leave a rough textured surface which would make a great key for the multifinish.
Don't keep rubbing in the same area like Keith does or else you end up with dents when the sun shines on it. Use a window rasp for reveals instead of what keith is doing. rubbing should be wide circular sweeps and the use of a h frame achieves a better finish. Keith needs some training.
Sorry not sure I can help you there could it be off the algi remover I have used similar and red in colour, try a pressure washer or ask K rend for a special breathable paint for it
Try a light power wash with universal cleaning soap in, I would personally keep away from bleaches or acids but if you have to try a small corner that isn't really seen
Your a credit to the trade Keith. A REAL BRITISH SPREAD.
Haven’t done this finish yet , never had a request to do it . It looks really good though . I’ll have to try it out on one of my mates place . 😆
Thanks for the great tips on how to render :)
Thank you for good 👍 ideas Thank you so much

Depends on area you can scratch same day or next day but would do all elevations or panels at equal time as colour difference may be noticeable
nice job m8
This looks brilliant , how much would something like this cost for a 3 bed semi detached ?

nice job mate, do you need to use sbr on the walls prior? and does it need to go on top of a scratch,or straight onto the wall , thanks
Keith mate whats you're opinion in regards to working on timber, i believe there is a special glue you can use to bind it.

He called it a scatch float. Alternatively you could hire a pikey with a cheese grater.
Do you ever sponge ur final coat when its wet then when its time scratch it back ??
Hi keith nice job. What is that render called and is it two coats?
Nice Demo. How long does it need to go off before you begin to scratch?

No it's not. It's monocouche.
will it not be different colour if scratched up at the same time

Rough job. I've been doing monocouche for 20 years. This is bad.
