Affordable Scimitar Spinning Rod by Shimano!

POWERFUL Well Constructed Inexpensive Spinning Rod by Shimano!
I was recently asked to do a review on a Shimano Spinning Reel & it's being sent to me. But i was thinking showcasing it on a Shimano Spinning Rod would be a nice one-two punch. I'd like to show, if possible a dependable & affordable rod & reel combo for fresh & saltwater applications. Catch is both products have to be available in most States either through local shops or online.
So on Oahu i decided to go to Hi Fish Gear in Ewa Beach to get a Scimitar. It is also online as well. This 8'6" model (SMS86MH2C) was only $50! This rod is available in longer lengths & varying strengths for my favorite style of fishing. Shoreline jigging. I needed an entry level rod for the Shimano reel coming in. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well built rod for way under a Benjamin.

I have the med light 7' two piece for river steelhead and trout with a 60$ 2500 reel and I love it in north California we have a good steelhead run in fall and this rod is slaying fish I'm going to get the regular med 7' for spring salmon with the same reel in 3000 to run 5/8oz spinners and spoons good rod but if you want one almost as good for 20$ less get the Shimano Stimula for 30$ I have both and like them both just a little better handle on Scimitar

@@ScubaChris I'm up in Humboldt county Trinity and Klamath Rivers although a lot of the same fish run the aqueducts in the Sacramento area because the water is taken from our rivers and run down there so sometimes the fish get confused when they smell it the Trinity fish accidentally run the Sac and vise versa I've cought fish tagged from the Sac in the Trinity

I think the garage is haunted. Only 5ft away are the remains of my roomates father in a massive crate just sitting in the middle of the garage. Even my dog acts weird around it.
