Korean diets just seem so extreme. You don't have to starve or eat unflavored food just to diet, there are plenty of healthier ways to do it plus regular exercise should be enough. A simple consultation with a dietitian/physical trainer would have done the trick.
They do it for the extreme factor. It works faster, they have a week vacation tops and that week they eat a lot of sugar and sodium and suffer swelling etc. The cuisine on its own its already heavy on salt. Most of them, when no longer rookies do consult nutritionist for follow ups, but its mostly blood type related diets like dont eat this and that, vs balanced diets and 3 at 3 hours eating etc.
@thegurl8788 I was talking about his diet during his 2pm days were all he ate were boiled cabbages, 2 chicken breast and 2 sweet potatoes (all unseasoned) in an entire day. I'm surprised he even managed to have energy to even perform properly on such a diet. Obviously, he's eating a lot better now but his previous diet is very common to a lot of other k-idol diets which are very extreme so that's what I was trying to point out in my comment above.

It's needed to transmit nerve impulses, contract and relax muscle fibers (including those in the heart and blood vessels), and maintain a proper fluid balance.
He is actually taking his sodium from all the side dishes like pickled parrila, kimchi etc. So not really depriving his body with needed salt. Just limiting his intake
Actually, the very young JunHo to the 32 yo JunHo is much approved. He understands his body so much better and is more disciplined. Staying fit is part of being famous, and maintaining longevity and relevance in the entertainment business. I luv this kind of maturity.
