Regrettably I’m not very familiar with as much classical music as I’d like to be, but GOOD LORD THAT CARMINA BURANA SECTION WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. And that opener 👏🏾👏🏾 and the ballad/solos 🤤 and every other minute of this show!! Broken Arrow never fails to blow me away! Wish I’d done band in high school 😩😭

Did you know that Broken Arrow scored a 89 at their superregional win, but Claudia Taylor Johnson from Texas scored an insane 96.6? with the 3 weeks from the St.Louis Regional to Grand Nationals, they might close the gap, but just consider, there were 6 bands in that San Antonio regional who cracked 94 pts! That's insane, what are they feeding these kids??
I said they would have their hands full, not that they couldn't win. Broken Arrow is my Favorite band program of all time at their level. I still have their wizard of oz show on my computer, so don't get the wrong idea here. I hope they win. However, when you've got 4 or 5 Bands at the San Antonio Regional scoring above 95, that's hard to beat. Also, there is a difference in judging, so Broken arrow could still pull it out. My money is on Avon, Claudia Taylor, or Broken Arrow to pull out the win. But this year, literally anything could happen -- those regional scores are record highs.
Vestbiii no you can't. The scores are based on the previous bands. If a judge gives a high score to the first band of the day, the rest of the scores will be inflated. The way BOA works is the scores don't matter, the spreads do. One judge's 14 might be another's 16. You absolutely CANNOT compare scores across different competitions.
Any idea what two steps from Hell song they played in their closer as the brass quartet. I know that they played High C’s, but what is the other song called I can’t figure it out.
