Thanks Mate! And for those holes I was planning on making a video to see if I could boost performance of the laptop seeing as though the laptop has no vents decided to cut a few holes with a drill to try to keep the laptop cool but the up. You reckon it'll be a good idea?
Sorry, can I pull out that sata connector and connect to sata 3, 2.5 inch 7mm form factor ssd? Is my 4 gig ram suffice for my son's online schooling? Thanks in advance... George A P.
Yep! You can remove that sata connector and connect it to any sata hard drive or sata ssd but it may not fit inside the laptop so keep that in mind(I believe that a 2.5mm by 7mm ssd will easily fit), and 4gb is maybe just enough but it would be a good idea to upgrade to 8gb (it's ddr3 by the way) thanks for watching and if you have any other questions feel free to ask! Regards Justin.
If you have a hard drive on the top left or have the cables for it you can get a sata ssd but no m.2 nvme ssd will fit as there is not slot for it (m.2 slots kinda look like the wifi card slot or the white thing on the top near where the hard drive goes)
RIP you cant put a hard drive or ssd in the laptop then but you still can use a external hard drive although it will be much slower (Idk why acer did this but its pretty annoying)
Hi! Upgraded to Seagate Maxtor Z1 250gb(financial constraints). Working fine. Only trouble was about lifting the plastic tabs of the ribbon cables. Shall I say it is hinged at the pcb connection side? Be very careful. Thanks a lot and best wishes, George A P.
Hi mate! Do you know how to open the laptop? If you do I searched up a disassemble guide and it appears that the laptop has no connectors or anything to connect a ssd is the true for you?th-cam.com/video/AFrwhyOWPRg/w-d-xo.html here is the link if you dont know how to open the laptop and tell me once you have opened the laptop whether it looks just like this.
You can never have enough memory GO FOR IT but understand 32GB disk will not work for Win10. Not enough room to download and expand Win10 upgrades. I blew away Win10 on my Aspire R3-131T-C1YF and installed Ubuntu 22.04 It runs great I have 12 GB of working space on the integrated 32 Gig EmmC hard drive chip. The mother boards of R3-131T-Pxxx support 2.5" hard drives not Cxxx.
Do you have a external hard drive? It's like a storage drive but you can connect it to USB. if you do remove the cover and you should see a hard drive connected to a small board. remove the hard drive and disconnect the board and connect it to the other hard drive. Once you do that then connect the cable and it should show up as if it is a USB drive
If you don't have a external hard Drive then you might have to reconnect the hard drive to the laptop and move the data onto your phone or USB (which ever has more space) but this is going to be extremely annoying if you have a lot of data
Good video my dude especially since you showed everything you were doing unlike most people who just skip everything
Its a great video and helped me so much. I liked the talking and quiet music in the background. I wondered what the circle of holes are for?

@@justintheboss2158 I'd be interested to know if the holes drilled ever improved performance on the acer?
Why all the holes in the bottom...?? For coolling?
yeah pretty much
My god, just changing the thermal paste should be enough

If all i have is the 32GB hard drive is it worth upgrading to 8GB of RAM or will the hard drive limit this?
You storage will never limit your laptops performance I definitely recommend upgrading the ram if you can as it will make it quicker and more usable.
