Billy Bob should have won an Oscar for all the talents he used making Slingblade. Writing, acting and directing, etc. Such talent! He needs to be recognized for it!
That was hands down, the most complete movie I've ever watched. No holes in any of it. It flows like honey and is very believable, like a slice of real life.
Every character in that movie was great and certainly memorable. This is one of those movies where if I'm flipping channels and see it on its a stop down and I have to watch it. There's not a whole lot of movies that I feel that way about. If you have not seen it then you're missing out on one of the greats.
@@andrewbecker9062 that's exactly what the TV wants you to think. Whether you like it or not, it is there to program you and if you think you are above it's influence then it has you right where it wants you.
Lol this movie and joking about it online is actually how I met my husband, he does the sling blade impressions like nobodies business lol. We love this movie it will never get old in our house. One of my favorites
Ed Palmer is my uncle which resides in a local nursing home. He’s lively and a pure soul. Uncle Ed was never living out back and fed like a dog. He had his own home and overcame obstacles related to polio. He loves everyone and I pray the derogatory comment was meant light hearted.
I was there for that event! It was an amazing experience. I love that film and seeing this discussion and these actors sharing their memories was awesome. Also, at that event I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie on several occasions. A nicer person than you can ever imagine. Of course, have met Billy Bob multiple times; also a great, down-to-earth guy! Love him and love Sling Blade. Love seeing this because it reminds me of just how great a time I had.
I'm SO jealous! Must have been awesome to have been there. Great to hear Billy Bob is wonderful; I'm sick of him constantly being dissed. Gotta be a huge heart in him to have created Sling Blade...
@@fredzeppelin3969 That doesn't look like Canerday. That looks like Christine Renee Ward who is a writer and director, although I don't know for sure how she is involved in the movie other than she's the one who played the lady Karl goes on a walk with and who later brings him flowers at his job.

i worked with billy bob on a film...i liked him...he was down to earth...no star trip whatsoever...he was a chain smoker...he would take a few puffs then he would throw the ciggie away...flick it away...like something bogart would do....like i say..he was a nice approachable guy, low maintenance.
Thanks to your creative sense of humor mr. Thornton everyone that sounds like sling blade will never be able to assimilate into human society ever again 🤩
S.J. White could barely talk, hard to understand and lived in Benton, Arkansas most of his life. From what I heard he passed away of a heart attack a few years ago. Never had a driver's license because he's was unable to drive. If he had to go anywhere somebody to pick him up or he had to ride the bus.
Slingblade is one of the greatest movies ever made
I agree. It is under acknowledged and under rewarded.
A very entertaining movie, have watched it several times. I hope Billy Bob has been very well compensated for his hard work.
Mmm-hmm.
Yes it is.
I have a notion to second that emotion !
Billy Bob should have won an Oscar for all the talents he used making Slingblade. Writing, acting and directing, etc. Such talent! He needs to be recognized for it!
Salinger Blaine billy bob thortion moves ok

Amen to that !

I like the way you review movies, mmhmm.
I would agree, except the kid wasn't the greatest actor. Seemed like he was reciting everything.
Damn I could not have put that any better!
@@Your_Face That is Lucas Black, who later starred in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and NCIS: New Orleans.
@@Your_Face I disagree. He seemed quite authentic.
Slingblade is by far one of the most underrated movies ever. Billiy Bob was shear genius. The story was an absolute masterpiece.
I love the movie he's so great in the movie
I love when someone pours their heart into a project and it gets appreciated the way it should.
Dwight Yoakam shoulda won an Oscar. Unbelievable performance.
I always crack up when Doyle just erupts into a freakin' paroxysm following his liquored late-nite jam.....where everyone must get the F$$$ out!!!
best supporting 100%. the scene after band practice is so good.
So sad John Ritter died the way he did. So sudden and with no notice. He was a great actor and he'll be missed
Love Billy Bob Thortons story, he is the MAN!
Brilliant screenplay and performance by Thornton. He has the rare ability to elevate any film in which he is present.
It really is one of the best movies I've ever seen.
I agree 100 per cent !!
I’d like to hear more character back story on all of the cast members. Even Doyle’s dysfunctional garage band.

I wish John Ritter was there :(
One of best movies I've ever seen. Bravo to all involved!
This feller kinda looks like me. I like the way he talks.
He like a way yew talk
I kinda like the way Mr. White talked too 🤙🏻🤙🏼
He lives inside of his own heart. That's a awful big place to live in. Mm hmm.
it's really cool how all his life experiences helped form that character
I cannot get enough of the interviews with BBT about his life pre-Hollywood. I love his stories.
Lol this movie and joking about it online is actually how I met my husband, he does the sling blade impressions like nobodies business lol. We love this movie it will never get old in our house. One of my favorites
Billy Bob Is my favorite!
Great Movie and filmed in my state even better
Proof that everyone has a story to tell and if you're like BBT you'll work tirelessly to tell the world your incredible tale
A GREAT MOVIE. LOVE ❤️ IT
I like that each person was remembered for a unique trait/story and lived on in 1 person. It's genius (to me, at least).
One of my favorite movies! He’s a pure genius for it.
We need a Sling Blade 2: The Harvesting!
I demand a sequel called Kaiser Blade before Billy Bob retires
Best movie ever !!

Thank you for sharing!
you are so lying
Nuttier than Karl and probably twice as ugly.
So Billy Bob lied about him. I don't like him anymore
Billy Bob is such a great actor. I honestly think he just made every part of those stories up on the fly during the interview.
No he didn't
Best Carl impression I’ve ever heard. Your family are such good sports too.
i love billy bob thornton
The character of Carl is a slow man but also has great depth and insight. Billy Bob Thornton played him perfectly. Such a brilliant performance. 👍👍
Love it ! Alpine , glenwood , malvern, and Houston . Small world !

Here I am 9 years later and no one had the decency to show their appreciation in the form of emojis. Well here ya go: 😂😂😂😂
Your a funny guy. Not funny ha ha.
Robert Duvall had a small but great roll ," I ain't got no boy"
Billy Bob is a very much under rated actor...Hmmm...
This movie is timeless. Why it's no longer available I cannot understand.
Where's Dwight Yokam...that "tunin son of a bitch" lol
David Hutchinson he couldn't stand midgets, retards, and antique furniture.
great movie! great actors! great music from these actors.
Like him or not......Billy is one Hell of an actor.....he knows his craft....The Goat.
Who doesn't like him
I had one character in my small town. Guess we all had.
Dwight Yoakum did the best acting job in human history
He seems like a cool dude.
I wanted to hear from the other people. Wish this whole thing was uploaded.
make sure you check out a film he made with Bill Paxton and, has a little bit of that Sling Blade feel as well
A Simple Plan.
Another great one!
That's not a slingblade reunion, that's Billy Bob Thornton talking, with some people sitting on chairs next to him!
That guy on the left is Lucas Black and that woman is the director

Too bad Dwight Yoakum couldn't have been there, I would have liked to heard his views on the film.

why the fuck are they laughing that a guy was forced to stay in a shed and was fed like a dog?
Ikr?!? That's terrible😥
I’m your oldest boy, name of Karl.
Cuz the leash got food all over it some of the time when he was fed.
Dwight Yoakam killed it in that movie
Great movie. If Dwight Yoakam wasn’t a country singer, he’d be an abusive alcoholic. Hell, maybe he is. Almost scary how well he played Doyle.

Where is the rest of this video???

Damn ... Didn't recognize the mom

There was and "Ed Palmer" from Alpine Arkansas who just recently passed away. Does anyone know if this was the same guy he refers to in this clip?
Went to high school with him.

Where is Deke from Frosty Cream?

Well now, that's not much of an excuse, now is it?
I love this movie. Billy Bob Thornton looks like Nick Saban. Lucas Black would definitely like a movie with him because he is a Diehard Bama fan.
Umm… Friday Night Lights???
Good Movie Dwight Yokam
Lucas Black lived in my old stomping grounds.
So did I
I was at this event. The best part was when someone gave Billy Bob a Molly Hatchet 8-track.
Billy Bob iconic you should really do a Collab with that other icon Quentin Tarantino it would be epic!!
love bbob's tee
Is there an entire video of this reunion?

Karl kilt him with a kaiser blade. Some folks call it a Sling Blade, I call it a kaiser blade.
He's a thousand miles from nowhere. Time dont matter to him😂
great movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He went out with Angelina Jolene when she was beautiful
Not every flower is appreciated for their beauty. He might have been the one who brought that quality to her.
Bs. He said he was from a town of about 10-11k on Conan.
