I purchased the Kool RV product for our rig once they went live with our model. Installation was somewhat easy, but keep in mind there are no instructions. You will have to find a YT video for assistance. At the end of the day, I believe what the product does plus the affordable cost will make it a huge winner. Thanks for sharing..........BTW, those motorized gate values may be worth a deeper look. Lol
Great video as always. Your channel has been a huge help for me as we just bought our first travel trailer (2025 Jayco SLX 261BHS). I feel like instead of starting out at ground zero I am starting out with some easy pitfalls avoided. Although my ups driver probably hates me from all the gear purchases lol. Everything from the harbor freight ammo cans trick to the tank treatment video. All super helpful so thanks from Maine!
Glad to hear it, Ive been at the beginning before and just trying to help others navigate this amazing lifestyle - in the hopes that we can reduce the decision fatigue and ignorance about the equipment so that we can USE it to get out to explore and adventure more!
Lots of items I’m interested in, thank you. I see that Newmar at 8:28 had a lot of fun leveling out. I wouldn’t want that site. That rig must be rocking back and forth.
I’ve replaced one of my black tank valves with the Valterra 12 volt and I wish I had done all my tanks with this set up. This spring I am going to replace all of them and mount the switches in the place where the manual pull handles are. It takes some work but it is worth the effort and gives a much cleaner look in the wet bay.
Another vote for water hoses! Tell me more, when you say "terrible ends" what do you mean? And "when" are you considering "newer versions" - the more info we have the better we can test!
Would love 2 c a review on the new water hose compared against the Zero G hose. The collars or necks on the blue Zero G hoses are not very durable. Have the centramatics on our 1 ton dooly and they are gamechangers. We have a triple axle 5th wheel and have considered getting them for it, but its a bit priceeee
Koolrv is worth it, i ran my brand spanking new rigs ac for 2 hrs, it was 105° outside and 90° inside, I shut it down and installed the koolrv by the time I was done the rv was 95° inside, i took off for a couple hours and came back to 80° temp inside; which I set the thermostat to...
The automated dump gate valve motor is a nice idea, and will help those who have a difficult time reaching the handle. But this doesn't truly address the issue of difficult-to-pull waste gate handles. The root cause of 'sticking handles' is not addressed. I would look forward to the manufacturers finding a handle design that never gets too difficult to pull by hand in the first place.
Fair point - Sometimes I can tell that pressure also plays a part in how "sticky" my valves are - if there is a vacuum up or down based on which valves I have open, outside temps and how airtight the sewer hose is connected into the dump system it can greatly affect how easy the valves are to open as well.
I have a BLU Technology filter system, including all the stainless couplings and hoses. I HATE the hoses and the couplings. The least little bit of sand gets in the quick connects and they bind up. Now, after 1 year of use all the quick connects are leaking. The stainless hose is also garbage. It kinks BADLY, and the worst part: When it kinks, it permanently damages that section of hose because the stainless jacket gets bent out of shape. It was a vey very expensive setup, and its been nothing but trouble for me.
I'm glad to hear some real world reviews of the system. I can see the "kinking" being an issue as the stainless steel would definitely bend and hold memory over other materials. Bummer to hear that the quick connects are leaking - have you reached out to Blu Technology to inquire about warranty replacement or potential fixes? My be something as simple as replacing the o-rings in the connection ends?
The Blu technology hoses are outrageously expensive. I bought stainless steel washing machine hoses and quick connect fittings from Amazon .40 feet total cost less than the 25 foot hose they offer.
@@rvgearandfar So do you know if Blu Technology hoses are ? There is nothing on their website that states that. I do have the three stage 5” water filter and a single Blu technology filter came standard on our Riverstone I have been using the hose for 2 years now and no problems. So if you want to spend that much money on them be my guest. And the Centramatic wheel balancers have been out of years I drove semi trucks for 41 years and have them on my F-450 .
@@TonyBenton0728 Valid point and I couldn't find it on their website either - I know when speaking with them at the show they are in the process of getting a NSF rating on their hoses so I can only assume - but you're correct, its not clearly stated.
@@russsauers What I have goes together very quickly. I can customize the length so I don’t have any excess hose laying around. And for a lot less money 💰
I have the KoolRV unit, and it’s amazing. The installation wasn’t hard and my RV did see better cooling. A side effect that they don’t advertise though is that it actually makes your AC unit significantly quieter. In my opinion, that alone makes it worthwhile!
Yeah the plug and play nature of it is REALLY appealing and the quieter operation is a major bonus! What other upgrades have you done to your rig that were worthwhile?
I installed two Maxxshades in my RV vent windows in lieu of the pillows and I like it much more. While it might not block out light completely, it’s good enough to keep it dark. And it reflects the heat very well as it still has a reflective back. It also has a built-in LED light if you do need more light in that area. I don’t use that feature though.
@@titanmedia3181 Nice - yes its convenient to have the shades stored where they're used and I've been happy with all of the MaxxAir products I've used.
@@rvgearandfar Not really bulky to carry. I replaced my plastic levelers with a few 2 x 8 boards and use these to level my Class C motorhome (under the wheels). They last forever and if needed to replace waaay cheaper. The plastic blocks are terrible and expensive.
I did the same thing. I have a 5th wheel and have used the wood boards for over 5 years now. I've used them on grass, sand, dirt, gravel, and concrete/asphalt. The only issue I can think of is if there has been heavy rain and I parked on dirt, the dirt is muddy when I go to retrieve the blocks. I just use a long flat head screwdriver to pry the blocks out of the mud and knock off the mud clinging to the block.

⚫ MORryde, in partnership with EZ RV Solutions, introduced the RV Residential Flush, a black tank bypass valve, and a sewer hose support that forms an in-line p-trap in flexible waste hoses called the RV Snap Trap.
⚫ Andersen Hitches showcased their new Stax Leveling Blocks, made from the same materials as their curved ramp camper levelers. Rated at 120,000 lbs, these blocks are 3x stronger than most plastic options.
⚫ WalTech’s smart thermostat 2.0 Unlike previous options, this upgrade features pet monitoring, room temperature alerts, and global connectivity through an integrated SIM card.
⚫ Kool RV has a plug-and-play insert for existing air conditioners, claiming a 44% performance boost by directing cool air directly into the ducting system, reducing pressure and temperature loss seen in many units.
⚫ BluTechnology’s high-end water filtration systems once again made an impression with their stainless steel construction, braided hoses, and flow counters.
⚫ Camco’s EVO Flex 2 water hose aims to compete with flexible fabric hoses like Zero-G, offering a new option for RVers seeking an easy-to-store, durable drinking hose.
⚫ Valterra’s EZ Valve is a retrofit option for RVs with manual sewer gate valves, automating the opening and closing via a 12V motor, with a manual backup override for emergencies. It offers a simpler, hands-free waste management solution for existing RVs.
⚫ Rivet Supply Co. presented an aesthetic product for sticker collectors: adventure boards made of lightweight acrylic that allow RVers to display their collected stickers without damaging their rig.
⚫ Centramatic wheel balancers: Using a combination of solid media and synthetic fluid, these balancers dynamically balance the entire wheel and hub assembly for heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and motorhomes. The technology, proven in the trucking industry since the '80s, may benefit RVers looking for a smoother ride.
⚫ MORryde is bringing back the PatioEx, a revamped and improved inflatable rear tent for toy hauler decks.
