You can determine which one you have by looking at the Firmware Version within the display's About section.
You have a STM32F103RET6 if the F/W VER ends with F1
You have a STM32F401RC if the F/W VER ends with F4

What the difference between ABL and UBL file?
I couldn't find the answer to this and I believed this to be ABL (Auto Bed Levelling) and UBL (User Bed Levelling). Not backed by anything but my wild guess. Downloaded the A myself

Installed the firmware today, along with the display,,,,Bricked the machine!!! Problem is, if you choose laser, it will be stuck there, there is no flash or anything that will change it back to printer...Re-flashing does no good...BRICK!

Just followed this video to update my Ender 3 s1 pro with this software which is v020 and it worked like advertised minus the screen load screen. not sure if that is a new thing or not. printer is under a year old.

Can't see the script to add even though I did everything on cura as you have shown. Any chance you'd know why it would be?
You can find your chip by going into settings then about rather than taking the bottom apart. 32 gig and below work for SD because they format to FAT32 required format for the printer.
I have a s1 not pro but i do have the touchscreen upgrade, do you think this will work for me my chip is F4.
I followed your video tonight, got it all installed. Did the 10x10 one though, did my rough tram and then the auto bed mesh, adjust my gcode in cura and when it starts it just smashes into the bed, I reset all setting manually trained it that’s it removed the auto level in cura printed great, any pointers?
Read the installation txt. Pretty sure that would have saved us. 😥

Please make sure you install the right firmware for your chipset, join the discord for help. :)
The adapters from micro to standard SD do work. I use it all the time when updating this very firmware. Anything 8 GB and below work. I use a 2 GB micro SD with adapter.
JUST REMEMBER TO RE PARTITION A LARGER sd OR MICRO sd TO BE NO MORE THAN 8 Gb OR YOU CANNOT FORMAT TO 4096 SECTORS.
There is no such thing as an 8gb micro sd card In America
I partitioned my 32gb into 4 8 gb volumes and it still didn’t work. I am learning on Marlins site, they are instructing us wrong. Even on the flashing. The firmware or bin needs to be named differently first of all and Not similar to the previous firmware name. Another thing is if you do have a partition or two on the card be sure to know which volume is your Root volume. Otherwise you’ll have the same problem I have where I bricked my board. Possibly that is. Anyway I’m letting people know BE VERY CAREFUL about who you are allowing into your printer. There are devious people who are jealous and don’t want to see you get ahead of them without a price. Do for yourself what others say they will do for you and then disappoint you. It’s not worth having to deal with this caveman ways.
And where do you obtain these 2 gig micro cards?
@@DJ-ih5el Do not format into 4 volumes. Only 1 volume and leave the rest as unallocated.

It's in the firmware in advanced setting.

does it have to be fat32 cuz i only have a 512 gig micro sd card and it is not fat32
I believe you can format it to fat32, but I'm not sure it will ready 512GB, you probably have to partition it. Would be easier to buy an 8GB one just for this.

I used a 32 gb card but I had to do extra steps to format it to the specifications needed. It will probably need done through disk management.

No it will not work on the regular S1, for that one look up Mr Iscoc professional firmware

it may be an amazing video, BUT TOKA'S FIRMWARE IS ABSOLUTE CRAP!
1. Homing is a total fail if you tram the bed either manually or automatically. Also, the option to decrease the number of tramming points in the auto-tram map is not operable.
2.The worst effect of his severely buggy firmware is that if you connect directly via USB, the hot end goes immediately to thermal overtemp. Only shutting off the printer solves this.
3. Homing forgets where zero zero is almost immediately after a print.
4. The Pause command drags the hotend over the entire print without and z hop at all thus stripping the print from the bed. Stupid
5. The PID test is defaulted to run to 300 degrees on the very first test so you are likely to have thermal runnaway immediately because the first Oscillation goes to about 330.
You really shouldn't be pushing this guy's code. It is buggy and has very poor quality control.
Other than the homing issue on the earlier releases, I've never had any of the other issues you mentioned. Have you joined the discord and shared your input there so you can get help? Could be possible you installed the incorrect version for your printer.
1. Homing works perfectly. The auto-tram points only work with 5, 7, 10.
2. This has never happened to me and I have been using this (007-023) for over a year now.
3. After the print you must be using M84, which unlocks the steppers and that invalidates home.
4. This is a gcode issue, usually. Using "M600" to pause the print works perfectly. It has always raised up a far amount and than moved to the right fully.
5. It defaults to 300, but you can change it to the temp you are going to use. I cannot say this will or will not happen, because I have only used a max temp of 245 C.
Many, many are using this firmware without issue. So, you cannot say it is poor quality just because it did not work for you.

The E3 S1 Pro's physical bed is only 235x235.

when i update to custom firmware, fowing susefull the before steps, start ok but when a wanna do a leveling nothing happend only the beep sound, and when a chosse a file to print its get freeze in the next screen with no alow to go back and i got to shutdown
I do everything as shown in the video, but the script does not work. What am I doing wrong? The Kura version is 4.8.

Bu aynı zamanda orijinal yazılımın önceki sürümünde de yaşandı. Otomatik seviyelendirme de orijinal puan sırası değişti ve sonuçlar tamamlandıktan sonra görünmüyor. Ekranda G.code görünmedi, ses açma/kapama düğmesi ekranda görünmedi. Birçok eksiklik var, umarım düzeltilir.
Hello, I too had issues like this on firmware upgrade, the microsd was my issue I used a new 16gb one and it worked, my other card was 32gb. May this help?
I don't think it's related to the memory card. I always install original software with the same memory card. I also have problems with the printer tray. I couldn't figure it out.@@Hiltomatt
Hello. The calibration setting on my 3s1 Plus printer does not work. When I look at the automatic calibration indicator that came with the latest update, the edges and middle points show irrelevant values. I couldn't do any calibration. Does this software automatically calibrate according to the values received from BL Touch? Will I experience the same problems?

The Creality Update is for Japan and Korea. I tried to update it and it said it is not available for my country so how are you being able to do this 4 months ago? I went through your video last night and now my printer is all messed up. I know my cards are working because I got some type response when I flashed the screen but now I can't get it back to what it was. I can't print anything.
There is a separate update for Japan and Korea, there are two files from the same version, you have downloaded the Korean one, you need to download the other one.
But they don’t offer another file on the creality website or within your tutorial. Also, I have never seen a 8 gb micro sad card. I have a feeling that this might be part of the problem. My extruder also has just stopped working. No reason. Only a small clog but nothing serious. I tore down the extruder and it was fine. Teeth were good, works by turning the wheel etc. then I thought it was the hot end but it’s heating things up. I have read that it may be a Bug I have gotten? Is there any way of returning it back to the way I got it when new? I don’t see anything else in ways to remedy this online. Your help would be appreciated.

To sum up, ABL and UBL are the same in that some sort of procedure is used to scan the topography of the bed surface but they differ in the sense that for ABL you are required to have a automatic leveling sensor and choose less points while you can have more probe points using UBL including advanced features as editing and storing multiple meshes.
This is great, I'm going to attempt this for my S1 Plus.
Do I need a creality update on my main board before I do this?
Mine is stock out of the box.

You do not need to update the main board to stock 28, only the screen is needed, if your screen back looks like his.
Won't matter much, my machine shorts out all the time, I'm going to take it back, Mayne a replacement.
@@marcmiddleton2277 Yes, it sounds like you have hardware issues and should be able to get a replacement, depending on how long you have had it. All the parts for these printers are available online if they won't.
