    Tascam or zoom h4n provides live recording that is recorded on SD card in wav or mp3 format. Both allow 4 times overdubbing. So these samples can be added to your mpc pads and make a track. You could record door is ajar to homer simpson cuts. You could then chop the sounds for the pads

    So what is the best way to get pops and clicks out from chops? Its very noticeable in edit and less noticeable when you convert but can still be heard. Is my unit defective?

    • @LiftedNoise
      @LiftedNoise  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it's defective. I think it depends on how well your sample is looped before you chop. Do you ever adjust start/end points manually? Look into what a zero crossing is. Although what I usually do is adjust my attack and decay. If you select all pads you can do this simultaneously for all chops.

    • @killyamomz
      @killyamomz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lifted Noise im manually chopping also tried with pad play chopping. Ill look into zero crossing.
      Also noticed some weirdness with the sequencer. I was sequencing my sample chops and after a few undo/record/play start the sequencer would throw in a pad press at the start of the sequence after the metronome count in. I thought i was accidentally double pressing a pad but it would happen on its own.
      On 2.5 firmware

    • @LiftedNoise
      @LiftedNoise  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@killyamomz no doubt. Try attack and decay as well.
      That's odd, never heard of that issue. It's kind of difficult to picture. I'd be curious to see what happened. Could you easily replicate the issue and record a video. Send me an email, I'll try to help out.

    • @LiftedNoise

    When you record a sample where does it live with in the MPC LIve? When
    you record a sample in a project and switch to another project how do
    you access the recently recorded sample?

    • @LiftedNoise
      @LiftedNoise  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll have to save the sample, I believe itll need to be assigned to a pad, press the pad and the select the pencil icon to the right with the drum program section of the screen. An option worded something like "save current sample" will be appear. From there you'll be able to choose a destination to save to. By default, if you don't select a location manually I believe it saves to a SAMPLES folder on the internal memory.
