Question. Why is it at times I feel like I'm not born again? I have fear that God will deal harshly with me? I remember when I first got saved I stopped using bad language. For some reason I'm using it again. There were pastors in my past that told me foul language didn't bother them. Could that have hindered my faith? I hate whenever I sin and I love to worship and praise God but at times I fear he's upset with me.

Being born again isn’t a matter of feeling - it’s a matter of the Holy Spirit indwelling based upon the historical fact of Christ’s perfect life, death, and resurrection. Whether you feel saved or not is not as important as whether you believe Jesus’s death and resurrection are enough to restore your relationship with God. God does not change, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever and He will not move away from you, you can only move away from Him. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Finally, concerning your speech, God is concerned about your speech because God is concerned about every part of you. If you cannot use foul language without violating your conscience then it is a sin to you, as anything done without faith is sin. Christ’s work on the cross is enough for forgiveness, but nevertheless you must strive to stop sinning as it is rebellion against the God who loves you, made you, and gave Himself for you that you may live for Him. Please continue to worship and praise the King who sits upon the throne!

God's grace is available for those who are humble to be forgiven and to overcome the power of sin. The Lord did the work at the cross- He said it is finished! Therefore, you must rely on Him!

Even the Apostle Paul lamented over his own fleshly desires and actions. We are fallen, not perfect. The fact that you recognize your shortcomings is important, like the Lord is hugging you up, gently urging you to get back under His mighty protective wing. God bless you and all brothers and sisters as we await His glorious return!

I totally agree with what the others have written. I will only add one more thing: seeing Him revealed in His Word helps you understand what He is like.
Everything written is revealing the character of our Saviour, Who is the Father and the Son. The Spirit of Holiness reveals His nature to you in every narrative, every account of His dealings with mankind. Look for Him and at Him. His power is available to you and in you. You will have no need for your own power… which is what bad language is. It’s a reliance on, an appeal to power-full things to lend weight to what we say.
