private and business construction of nice properties has never been our problem in Onitsha and Nnewi. our problem is the state and local gov'ts that are either unwilling or don't have the capacity to follow simultaneously, or even prior, with provision of the necessary infrastructure like clean and neat inner roads with sidewalks and covered/underground drainages, street and traffic lights, greenery like trees, lawns and nature parks, and regular maintainance and environmental sanitation. it's annoying that a GRA could have such a visible absence of public infrastructure. i just wish the colonial Brits could have stayed a bit longer till at least the 90s. Onitsha would have been much better looking and organised, and its highbrow areas would have been worthy of the tag GRA.
