Nobody told them the risk. Many did this only because they either got paid OR were in the army and got it as an direct order.

The Deadly Cable it was part of Russian back in the days of the Soviet Union when they where all one but at the break of communism it broke into separate to become the federation of Russia we know today tho Russian still fight to take back Ukraine
@@Jjz0289 It wasn't part of Russia, it was part of the Soviet Union, along with Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and "East Germany" to name a few.
As for Chernobyl's location, it's right on the border of Ukraine and Belarus, so you're right in saying it isn't in Russia, but now's a good a time as any to film it. "Our guy in Ukraine" just doesn't sound like a particularly great series. Chernobyl, Holodomor... so many wonderful things to celebrate.
