Thank You Kaaren and Prof Sales! It's the YT videos like these that are empowering people like me with the necessary knowledge thru which we can change our lives for the better and eventually, hopefully inspire others and empower them to do the same and so on.
I picked up 64 pair on Sunday for roughly $60.00. I agree with you Kaaren and I do the same thing it took me about 2 hours at 2 stores I really like to take my time & look through them very thoroughly to make sure I don't have any surprises when I get them washed/dried & listed. :)
Awesome job! I've watched dozens of TH-cam reselling videos and this one is the most detailed and educational. Thank You Kaaren and Jason. Started sourcing RA and used clothing ( mostly jeans at Goodwill $1 days) for resale on Ebay and eventually FBA on Amazon. I've been to the bins but just to observe. Thanks again for giving us a detailed sourcing video.
You've inspired me to pay more attention to jeans. I was given a bunch of free ones that will garner a lot of money and I like that they are kind of straightforward, yet they are not static.
OMG! Love this video Kaaren. I have been selling jeans when I started eBay last year. Well, I have a store way back home (Philippines) and jeans has been my niche (mens esp) and when I came to this Land of Promise USA, I got bored not being able to work so I thought of searching and came across eBay. (I know nothing about it! But one thing for sure, I just wanna make some money like I used to selling used clothings. When I got my first sale, I felt the rush to study the platform and boom! eBay Customer Service were my tutor, yes, I call them 3-4x a day. lol! and Glad I did it! So for those who are scared to start, hell No! Don't be! Start now and make some real $$$.
Great video, Kaaren. I really enjoyed it and got a lot from it and tell Jason that you did just great --- very professional and friendly. I pick up lots of distressed Levis and they all sell well for a premium price. I find kids (mostly) love those jeans, which I would never wear. But I prefer to source jeans like I'd buy for myself. I just know that distressed jeans do sell very well and I notice you don't deal in them.
wow that 99 cent thursday is like here in arizona every thursday is 1 dollar day it use to be 1.50 for the last few months of last year and they made all these new color changes they tried for 2 months and it blew up in their faces and i never went back and 1 day i popped in around valentines day to find out they were bringing their old sales back i was so happy becase the dollar day was perfect for me and i do not source to high i have never spent more then 4 bucks a item and the 4 bucks was just 4-5 times and i got chanel and dolce and gabana and louis V for that price real aisde from that for me to even sent 3 bucks is nuts, they finally rbought the sim wear and most bras to 3-5 bucks, which is great and 50% off that is only 1.50-2.50 for me 50% off is still priceyi only go in for the bras shoes and lingiere swim wear for 50% its all thats worth it to me, they did drop prices, it seems to be good prices there in ur state thanks friends
Great Video!! Always Fun to see all the Seller Tips and things that maybe you don't think about! Very Helpful and informative..Smiled at your MUSIC Comment haha... I LOVE when the stores DO NOT have music playing :)It Distracts me.. Goodwill and thrift stores I wear Ear plugs.. Thanks for posting all these great tips and the nice long video!!
Kaaren thanks for this video, love your very steady voice and motherly way you come across. ???How often do you all do this kind of haul and spend $5000 on jean????
Super informative!! Great job on the first video. You are a natural behind the camera!! Question 1, When you put an inventory number in the item SKU section in a listing, where does it show up after the sale? I can't find it displayed anywhere in the sales record and I feel I won't be able to find my items. I would list entirely on mobile if I could but I start on the PC to be able to use the SKU section for inventory then finish the listings on my iPhone. Question 2, When taking pictures on the iPhone how do you organize them to match up to a listing later? It would be almost be impossible to find a pair in the middle of a group of photos while listing when they all look relatively similar i.e. jeans! That's why I only do a couple at a time so I don't mix the photos up in a listing. Thanks again for all of the info!!
Your listing has a Seller SKU box. That is where the SKU goes with your item number and inventory location .I do not believe this shows up on the mobile app listings. When you log on to your Seller Hub you can go to your Orders Awaiting Shipment. Your SKU column will appear here and you can print this list out. If you dont see the SKU column go to the Customize option and add it. I list on Mobile but process orders from my laptop so I can see the Seller SKU Lots of ways to organize your photos. Kaaren will airdrop the photos to me for a stack. She gives it a title usually the date and takes a picture of that piece of paper at the beginning of the photos. At the end she snaps a photo of a piece of paper that says how many were in the stack. She stacks the jeans in order of the photos and puts the Date slip in the middle of them. Usually about 10 or so in a stack.
You're so lucky, none of my GWs or SAs have high ened jeans. I've searched within a 500 mile radius. Just crap. Levis aren't too bad, but the most you can get is 20-25 bucks.
I was hoping for more in store action to see how you decide on what to buy. I guess it still comes down to brands. Please continue to name drop a brand on occasion and say why you like it. I don't see how you guys don't get burned out and you spend more money in one trip than I spend all month. I do get afraid you'll wipe all my inventory since we are not too far apart. But good job . I hope to see you make more videos. Girl power! ;)
+silentchaosification We purposefully did the Jean look over outside of the store because filming it inside wasn't conducive to a good video. What else specifically would you have liked to have seen ? We like certain brands mainly because they sell for good profit. Really is that simple. Kaaren says High Five on the girl power.
Excellent job Kaaren you are great at your craft. LOL about finding the condom, sorry Jason! I wish my Goodwill's had as much of a selection as yours does. The ones in my area have like two rows of jeans.
I'll have to look again and see between mens and womens section. I think I'm going to start a little bit in clothes, maybe start to diversify into areas I'm not that familiar in and see how I do.
Anyone know a place to find trends or what brands to buy? As she said in the video, trends change, how do I find whats best to start looking for during each time of year?
What is your average cost for a pair of jeans? In my area of PA Goodwill charges $9.50 for women's LuckyBrand and $6.50 for Levis, wranglers. They only run 50% off sales once every 4-5 months.
i'm in Pa as well- if you can - check out the Goodwill Outlet in Montgomeryville, pa. Its clean and they cycle through the inventory quickly. We visited the Belmawr Nj Site and we thought it was quite dirty... Strange smells... My husband smelled a dead animal and I smelled urine in certain bins. Lancaster also has an Outlet store which we haven't visited yet. We've had GREAT success at the bins :)
Good work and congrats on your "solo". You don't talk about dollars much. What are you paying? Do you see a disparity between stores? Chains? Geographic location?
Dollars spent. What are you paying, typically? Where I live, the Goodwill stores can charge 5-15 dollars for a pair of jeans. I only make money when I buy them at garage sales.
Let's say a month from now a person that watches your videos cleans out all the stores before you get there. lol I laugh but I have seen the difference from the 6yrs I have been doing this. Needless to say I have had to adapt to survive. It's just simple mathematics. Like Craigslist Hunter stated- in 1 years time on EBAY the amount of items listed in Men's Clothing increased 15% and Womens' Clothing increased 18%. Seems to me you are shooting yourself in the foot. btw you did a good job on the video though. :)
Thank You Kaaren and Prof Sales! It's the YT videos like these that are empowering people like me with the necessary knowledge thru which we can change our lives for the better and eventually, hopefully inspire others and empower them to do the same and so on.
TY for the kind words

Generally speaking, do your boot cut/wide leg jeans take longer to sell? I have a hard time moving them.
you could bring a backpackers headlamp they are very bright with leds
Good tip. Thanks

I know the Men's section is pretty terrible usually but the women's is stocked
+Pittsburgh Mike agree Mike. Women's jeans are more plentiful than men's.
I'll have to look again and see between mens and womens section. I think I'm going to start a little bit in clothes, maybe start to diversify into areas I'm not that familiar in and see how I do.

Winston Salem
Give us more---- great job.
+CASHN HAND Thanks
Awesome thank you!
You are very welcome Teresa Ratliff
How much would you sell lucky and gap jeans for? on a average?
any thoughts about using your iphone as a flashlight for the dark store? I guess if you didn't have other stores to go to it might be worth the time.
Yeah its ok for that but you will still miss things. The instore inspection catches alot of defects.
Good work and congrats on your "solo".
You don't talk about dollars much. What are you paying? Do you see a disparity between stores? Chains? Geographic location?
Hey Zerkbern. Which dollars are you asking about? Different thrifts have different prices which can change your sourcing strategy
Dollars spent. What are you paying, typically? Where I live, the Goodwill stores can charge 5-15 dollars for a pair of jeans. I only make money when I buy them at garage sales.
Zerkbern Its more like $5 here for most jeans
