Why sus? They’re making a thing to help kids learn which colors to combine to make other colors.
It looks like sheets of clear, thick plastic were painted (or alcohol inked?). Then the plastic sheets were layered on top of each other to show the color change.
The only thing I was unsure of was if they were trying to use magenta, yellow, and cyan, like a printer does, or were they trying to show mixing primary colors because when he was dipping the brush and mixing it on the pallet, it looked like plain red yellow and blue.
I’m not trying to make a big deal out of it, but I just wondered what you found suspicious about it. Have a great day! 🤗
