Hey Guys, sorry to hear that your experience was not so great. Interestingly, my dear husband and I sailed on the Apex the same week as you and we had a GREAT experience!! The ship was absolutely beautiful, the food was really good in all the dining rooms and buffet. We did not eat at Eden though, as it was fully booked for dinner. The entertainment in the theater was superb, we enjoyed all the production shows and all the talent, we also enjoyed one of the shows at Eden. I have to agree with you that the drinks at the Martini Bar were well done and delicious. I did however ordered a mojito at the bar across from the pool and it was just awful. I asked the bartender for a do over and it was not any better. The Celebrity staff and service was like no other cruise line we have experienced, we felt that the staff went above and beyond. We also enjoyed our cabin, it was an concierge infinite veranda. The room was well appointed and I loved the technology. Like you, I also loved using my phone to control the lights, open/close the balcony shutter and control the temperature in the room. Most of all we enjoyed the beauty of the ship, the ambience and the food. We also made new friends onboard and enjoyed having dinner with them every night. I can understand your frustration with the WIFI, especially if you were trying to get some work done. Hands down we are looking forward to sailing in the Celebrity Edge class in the near future, perhaps we will try the beyond as they have made some improvements to the layout of the ship. I just returned home April 15, 2023 from a 7 day cruise on Celebrity Apex which is an elegant, peaceful & beautiful high end ship! Three ports were visited: San Juan, PR; Tortola, BVI & St Kitts, West Indies ---> LOVED ALL OF THEM!!! After docking at 3:30 PM, we walked around Old San Juan near the port. We took no excursions on San Juan as we arrived late. I have been to SJ before and had already visited El Cristobal Fort & El Morro then both are highly recommended as excursions. In Tortola, we took the Town & Country Tour including one hour at Cane Garden Bay Beach, then we returned going around Tortola from another direction (3.5 hrs). We saw amazing views of Roadtown & our ship, plus many jaw dropping views of various islands & landscapes. Our driver & tour guide was Kumba and he was fantastic. St Kitts was our third island, where Century Apex & three other ships docked, Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas, a Carnival ship & Marella Explorer 2. Needless to say, the area outside the gate was crowded with people milling about trying to find their line for the booked excursions. Royal Carribean passengers were most numerous as their ship was huge. We took the "Scenic island cruise and beach tour" (3.5 hrs). A boat took us away from the pier and we viewed several islands at a leisurely pace while heading toward the most beautiful view in the distance, the island of Nevis. We had one hour to enjoy Lime Beach (part of Pinney's beach) near the Marriott Hotel. Then qe returned by boat to the marina. The ship Celebrity Apex was *ASTONISHING*. The Theater entertainment was *PHENOMENAL* with singing, dancing, & acrobatics included in highly creative programs!!! Also, individual singers on specific nights were extraordinairily talented!!! Everything was memorable about the Celebrity Apex! Not enough space here nor enough time to describe what was so great & why it was so memorable & enjoyable!
Sounds like you had a very enjoyable cruise! San Juan was fun in the late day as we don’t get many opportunities to experience that port at night. Tortola was a new experience for us and we loved it there! Couldn’t imagine that many people in St. Kitt’s, but it’s nice that you were able to get away. On our first time there, we also visited the beautiful island of Nevis. Those black Sandy beaches were amazing! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

The irony is when I was on the Sky Princess at Ft Lauderdale (10 day Southern Caribbean cruise) leaving on Dec. 17th (2022), I watched the Celebrity Apex leave the port from deck 14 deck (and took several photos of the ship!), *not* thinking at that time of taking a Celebrity cruise! Everything worked out such that a good friend wanted to take a cruise together & I researched and found Celebrity Apex met our criteria for interesting ports, reasonable cost & *most* importantly transportation to & from Ft. Lauderdale for this particular cruise. So we did it! Both of us loved it!
I wonder if anything has changed in the year. Headed on the Apex later this month but its a bit different the ship is a charter event for the whole ship.
Fortunately there was a lot more to love about this ship than not. We're sure you'll have a great cruise, and with it being chartered, that should elevate your experience even more!
Just finished your video and overall sounds like it lines up with my brother's 1st experience on a celebrity ship (beyond). The biggest negative to him like yall mentioned was the limited hours for breakfast/lunch pushing you towards the buffet. The best was the service as the ship was roughly 50ish % full. I've not had the time to talk to him about the super specfic stuff, but in short wasn't quite what he was expecting on a upscale line (fans of RCL).
Excited for you to chat with him more and see content you put out around the ship. 50% capacity?! Wow. We felt like there was plenty of space onboard and we were full with it being Thanksgiving week. It definitely felt more upscale to the lines we're used to (Royal and Carnival), but not to the point where we were uncomfortable. The art on the Celebrity Apex apparently makes that ship feel much more elegant/rich than the Celebrity Beyond according to some folks I chatted with that had been on both ships.
Excellent we just got off the BEYOND and the APEX was better. The beyond did solve some of the dead ends but the art work and feeling (Giuseppe) was amazing 🤩 Thanks new friends for the review 👍👍👍

We have sailed Carnival for thanksgiving a few years ago and the ship broke the record for number of kids onboard. While the Apex was sailing full, there were barely any kids onboard. It was wonderful! And even though there were a lot of people, we rarely had to wait in line for any venues. The ship was very well laid out. We hope you enjoy the cruise!
Sorry you had such a bad cruise with Celebrity. I have cruised on 7 different Celebrity ships and have had nothing but good experiences. Try one of the other ships.
We plan to. It’s not fair to a cruise line to try them once and base everything off that one experience. Not sure when we’ll get back on one of their ships, but it’ll definitely happen!
Hi. Glad to find your review! I was on the Edge at the same time in Nov. I’m a celebrity cruiser and this edge cruise was big disappointment: waaaaay under staffed all around. MDR waitstaff very unstructured and food cold often! The bar service was so inconsistent and zero floor service in Eden , Sunset Bar and The Club.I was told by hotel officer they had 60% of crew brand new. Going on Apex in June. Hope improving
Ah yes. There were definite staffing challenges on the Apex at the time of our sailing as well. Quite disappointing given the level of quality/service that Celebrity is known for. Hopefully they will have replenished the crew onboard and you'll have a much better sailing experience on the Apex (along with more consistent drink pours). We are still working on a few more videos from our November sailing, so stay tuned to our channel!

I will be on Apex next Thanksgiving. Was it a full ship? Did it feel crowded? Were there a lot of families with kids?
We have sailed Carnival for thanksgiving a few years ago and the ship broke the record for number of kids onboard. While the Apex was sailing full, there were barely any kids onboard.
