I love this scene, as it's one of the few passages where we see Ipman defending his wife. And the moment when he takes out the bad guy to keep his wife safe during. It's chilling.
1:06 the look on his wife's face. And the look on Ipman's face when he's determined to take out the bad guy.
1:39 This aerial shot is magnificent.
Everything in this scene is splendid.
man I wish I was that bad azz, to protect my wife in close tight space! excellent scene, I felt the chills through the entièrement fight!
love the camera angles on this fight
This stunt guy is really good at his job all the stair falls look legit... And they are really hard to be done without getting serious injury.. He sold it very well..
Ip man skills were elevated to a different level
That Thai boxes needs to go and watch Ong Back part 1, 2 and 3; his elbows and knees are weak!
To be fair, Tony Jaa is fucking insane in the best possible way. He loved Kung Fu movies but he didn't know about wire-work for stunts, so he just trained himself to do a bunch of movie stunts without wires, because he thought other martial arts stars could do that.
Tony jaa use that's muaythai boran. Use elbows and knees.
Simon Kuke, the actor in this scene, went to school with Tony Jaa. Tony Jaa is the reason he became a stuntman
IP Man was like: "Before we get started, do you want to get out?" 😂
Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan easily part of the best martial art actors ever born!! I love them as actors in general!
Bruce Lee movie not robotic like this one🙄
Jet li and chuck Norris 😠
@@niteblaster1 sorry. Lee was a joke imo. Drawn out “waaaaaaa’s” while flex posing rotfl. Couldn’t stand them as a kid and absolutely hate them now
Постановка боя шикарная. Интересно, сколько заняло времени и плёнки снять эти пару минут боя?
Один из самых лёгких боссов Ип Мана.
Так он же не босс.
Он суб-босс) Промежуточный же
1:58... looks like rooster stands on one leg. Very cool application! Also, exquisite cadio for a smoker.
Ip man is actually a very nice man, he respects his opponent and makes the fight outside the lift and gives the opponent more advantages, since wing chun is very effective to be used in close combats.
wing chun is not affective at all... no where no place.. its a bullshjit sport lol... and there are ALOT of videos providing evidence it is BS.
@@Insane0industry i am talking in the context of the film, do not be so serious
Great scene! I love how it makes to see as VS is good for something..
😂
Just kiddin. But seriously 😂
¡Es mi pelea preferida y la sigo apoyando gracias!👍😊
Spent more than 5 years living in Thailand, this is not how a real Thai boxer actually fights 😂
What do you mean? Like his fighting is exaggerated and not really that good?
This is muay boran, ancient style Muay Thai, you can see people like Tony Jaa in Ong Bak, doing these same muay boran stances
@@mr.emsrubin830 hah, the moves is exaggerated, yes, Muay Thai moves are more simple than what shown in the clip here, but one direct hit can send you to oblivion.
True, this is Muay Boran😍😘 Elbows shines tibia knees headbust.. use of all the hard bones is allowed...
See all the styles here.. th-cam.com/video/TPkQvzHmnSI/w-d-xo.html
of course not, because what you are used to see is competitors in their own league fighting similarly and leaving room for it. It would not work dealing with a Chinese Martial Arts master as it was mr. IM as he was the one who took the initiative breaking the Thai dynamics, and learn such unusual for him style while slowing his response much limited to just interrupt him. Like if he was taking a test on him. A few times he got closer, awaking his respect for the Thai fighter style, but he was never in any danger as anyone can notice. It was a progression to see the best of the Thai that he could bring forward. He could have done him faster earlier, or harm him badly. But I think there is a symbolic intent in the filmed scene, in taking the foreign thug down the stairs instead of allowing him in the elevator, too social company for his uncouth youth.
Không biết câc bạn có như tôi không, nhưng tôi mê võ Diệp Vấn kinh khủng! Nghiện nó!
Conclusion : if you are in this hospital, go down by using the stairs, it's faster
lol hahahah so funny.
faster if is Donnie Yen kicking you down the stairs!
Lmfao legit
For those that have watched all of the IP man series this is one of his most aggressive fights and it's awesome.
I used to love these types of movies. Then I did Muay Thai for a year and you realize Ip Man would have been destroyed in a few seconds 😩
By whom? It's not the style but the fighter that's important. We see plenty of wrestlers, Jiu Jitsu experts, Judo experts, and Kickboxing champions get DOMINATED in the UFC ALL the time. As stated, it's not about the style, but about the fighter. The fighting spirit is what's important.
@@billywashere6965 Oh please. Wing Chun is a BS martial art. I love that Xu Xiaodong guy who goes around China using MMA to kick the crap out of Chinese kung fu "experts". The Ip Man stuff is just a movie. IRL he would have been killed by a Muay Thai fighter
@@billywashere6965 exactly. Those are the words from Ip Man himself in his first fight in the first movie
MuayThai is weak defensively, too many openings in the mid section, which this movies shows during the fighting.
@@Athenian888 This fictional movie shows absolutely nothing other then coordinated dancing. But if you truly wish to relieve yourself of your naviety watch Saenchai.
¡Cómo me gusta esta escena es formidable y única, excelente vídeo!👍😉
Ip Man teaches the Thai boxer how to go down the stairs without an elevator 😁
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Excellent choreography using 2 very talented athletes.

видео конечно прикольное, но я все ждал когда же тайский боксер появится
In my head i fight like this.......reality is so different 😄😄😄
No one fights like this in real life 💀💀💀
The choregraphy is amazing, especially the birds eye view on the stairs as they go down!
loved it how he took it personal. man u just have to give a man a day for receiving the news about her dying wife.
¡Esta pelea es formidable y me gusta mucho excelente vídeo gracias!👍😃
Boxer fighting as if his life depends on it.
Ip Man walking down a flight of stairs to meet his wife.
great fight scene! kudos IP man.
Anyone who's actually seen wing chun in action will know that an elevator is the worst place on the planet to fight a wing chun master, especially as a muay thai kickboxer.
Yeah I was wondering the same, its the Muay thai guy who needs a lot of space for his movements while wing chun uses the smallest of spaces for maximum powerful movements. Why would you even choose that place
Wing Chun is not even good in tight spaces. It is terrible martial art for fighting. The Ip movies are pure fantasy
@@staticcharm3808 Clearly you've never fought a wing chun fighter.
damn that triple kick in the air by the thai boxes by the stairs at 1:57 mark was amazing!!!
What everyone fails to see is that this fight scene is genius! Ip man could of ended him quick but with the disrespect of him fighting in front of his wife he wrecked him the entire time while escorting him downstairs out the front door 😆 🤣
Muay thai would destroy wing chun in real life
@@exen3980 idk wing chun seems efficiency and speed based, and simultaneous parrying and attacking exists. if both fighters know how to defend then it probably wont be a bad fight
@@exen3980 agreed, what you see in kung fu movies isn't gonna work out in real life. Ip Man is a TRUE MASTER in Wing Chun, meaning that he master this in almost in a perfect level. Wing Chun is impractical in fighting martial arts and mix martial arts if you do not even know how to dodge

Китайские бойцы как всегда в кино элегантны и неподражаемы.
2:08 he will never drop his sleeper again 😂
No joke, but falling on tile like that as an actor must have been physically brutal.
The tile was a paid actor, don’t worry.
@@hellodumzo I work in movies, falling is painful especially on exposed bones like knees and elbows. Not a surprise you don't see that antagonist again in the show, probably bruised the hell up. No tile was injured in the making of this movie tho, lol.
You clearly have ZERO experience in working in film or movie environments. Or you'd know precisely why you sound so stupid. Less lies next time pup.
@@Splatterpunk_OldNewYork If you work in movies you don't think they let Tony fucking Jaa wear skintone protectives or fall on dummy tiles?
@@bumenjoyer Well, keyboard warrior, not everything is safety first and a whole set made from dummy tile. Sometimes there is a time crunch with producers barking down your neck. Protective equipment is not always up for the task either. People get hurt, period. Glad I don't work with a walking opinion like you though, small miracles.
The way they shot this is amazing. The camera work when Ip Man beat Thai dude ass down the stairs is well shot. Probably better than the Mike Tyson fight even though it's a one sided fight.

Muay Thai kicks is powerful you'll collapse if you take a blow from it and these fight scenes are designed like IP man preventing from kicks
Picking a fight with a Wing Chun master in an enclosed space. Brilliant.
