I’m one of those people that puts on Emile’s videos to go to sleep. I usually have the volume down lower than when I watch TH-cam during the day. Although I don’t exclusively listen to his videos to go to sleep, they are some of my favorites. Essentially, I am afraid of the dark. As for falling asleep to Chugga and TRG; I can't speak for everyone but I think I can explain some of us. Most notable is many people aren't easily woken up with noise, meaning that random yelling doesn't wake you up. For me, the tone of natural human conversation is comforting. It puts me in the place where I can fall asleep.
Well, more accurately, money is a system of "IOU"s. Josh does something for Gary, Gary now owes Josh. So Gary gives Josh a note saying "I owe you". Josh now owns the rights to 1 favor from Gary. Next, Beth does something for Josh. Josh owes Beth. So instead of doing a favor for her to repay her, he hands her the IOU, effectively passing the rights to Gary's favor to her. Josh no longer has possession of this "favor", and Beth can choose to use this "favor" to give someone else in place of herself being in favor to that person. So while it is true that the value of money is largely in the minds of the collective, there is some form of metaphysicality to the value of any currency due to it's intrinsic attachment to interpersonal dealings. Who owes who what, and how much?
Fun Fact: Something existing only because people believe in it is called the Tinkerbell Effect! If something does not exist because people believe in it then it is called the Reverse Tinkerbell Effect!
@@draxomega You have the right spelling but idk if it would count as Tinkerbell effect or not. I mean, a tulpa can only really exist to one person (and I guess any other tulpas in the same system). There's no way a tulpa can interact with anyone outside the system without the host taking some sort of action (syntax typing, switching, etc.). On the other hand, I suppose it could still fall under the Tinkerbell effect since people in the community treat tulpas as individuals worthy of the same respect given to other humans, instead of treating the host like they an imaginary friend or something. Sorry if this got a little wordy, I'm just always down to talk about tulpas lmao

As for money being this way, it's not *exactly* true.. money has value due to how you can use it to get things that actually have value to you. I'm one of those people that use Emile's videos to fall asleep, and it works really well. I listen by series, and one series can last me several months because I generally get through an episode every two nights or so. If it's a series I've watched before, then I'm familiar enough with it that I don't feel the need to stay up watching. But it also keeps my brain occupied, so I don't get so bored that I want to get up and do things. Plus, I can judge how long it took me to fall asleep by how much I can remember of the episode when I wake up. And if I wake up in the middle of the night, I can tell how many hours it's been just by how many episodes have gone by since I fell asleep. It's honestly been a very good system for me. I used to take hours to fall asleep, because I'd toss & turn and wish I could do other things. But now I look forward to falling asleep and it only takes me like 15 minutes.
Someone should send the guys the clip from family guy where Peter was on the bonus round and guessed three Qs, a 4, and the Batman symbol and got the puzzle right on his first try with no letters.

Funny that the guys mention people falling asleep or being woken up to their videos. Just a week or two ago, I was rewatching Super Mario 3D World and dozed off. I woke up to Jon screaming "NO TIM!" on Champion's Road and for some reason it made me think there was a fire in the house. I’ve actually used Jon’s videos to fall asleep to, from time to time. Mainly his Yoshi’s Island or Wario Land LP’s.
