      Yeah Huttopia’s really big in other countries and they just recently opened up this spot in Southern California. This year they are growing the site from 12 to 72 tents before the end of the season. So we’re excited to revisit in a year or two to see all the new additions :)

    You mentioned to bring food to grill. Do they offer places to eat because I do not want to grill or do anything but relax. Also, any wild animals that you saw/encounter?

      Hi! sorry for the delayed response. but yes, they have a Café/Restaurant that you can order from. We really liked the food and they even had the option to have breakfast picnic basket dropped off for us in the morning to enjoy right on our patio. Loved it. When we visited they still had a ton of improvements and changes in the works, so it's very possible that their food options have changed. As for animals, we didn't see anything big, but did see rabbits, and squirrels running around as well as fish in the their large pond.

      We were thinking the same thing! But figured it’ll probably make the place too busy for the nice relaxing Glamping atmosphere they’re looking for. Haha

    Did you go during the summer? Was it busy? Sorry

      We went at the opening of their season last year which was mid may. We lucked out and were the only guests on the entire property outside of the owners that were visiting from Europe, so we got very lucky. Great weather at the time. We could envision it getting pretty hot in the summer. I would do your best to makes sure you get a tent with some sort of tree cover or shade, cause it'll make a difference in the temps inside the tent.

    Did the kitchen have all utensils
    needed , spatula, tongs...what should we bring as far as cooking and kitchen wear?

    • @Califoreigners
      @Califoreigners  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The kitchen comes with utensils, different spatulas, pans, cups, and even a cheese grater.
      We can’t remember if the grill had tongs, but we always have some when we travel. We “believe” they do have tongs there but we aren’t certain.
      The tents had everything we needed to cook, but we weren’t doing anything fancy.
      Our only real recommendation is to bring dry ice or extra bags of ice to keep the cooler cold. When we went the idea was to switch out the large freezable ice block s with new ones by the kitchen, but we don’t think their was enough to keep all the tents coolers cold. hope that helps :)

    How many days would you recommend to stay?

    • @Califoreigners
      @Califoreigners  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, We only stayed for two nights and had a great time. A third night would have definitely given us more time to unwind and relax but we just didn't have the time off for it.

    Can you fish there? or in the area?

    • @Califoreigners
      @Califoreigners  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! When we visited we could not fish there yet. The manager we spoke too at the time said they were trying to get the permits to allow fishing in the pond. So hopefully you can fish there by now, but we aren’t sure.
      Because of that, we just had a weight on the end of the kids reels to teach them how to cast.
      We did see folks fishing the stream on the side of the road on the way in that was pretty close to the grounds. If fish and game stocks it, the stream looks like it had some decent places to fish for rainbow trout

    Thanks for this vid. Subscribed and booked for this weekend. What is the drive like? Not traffic wise but like are there cliffs or anything like driving up mountains? Thanks! @califoreigners

    • @Califoreigners
      @Califoreigners  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! We loved our weekend there. As for the drive, it was surprisingly stress free, we thought we would have to drive through the mountains, but instead our navigation had us circling around. Mostly driving through the desert. With maybe the last 15 minutes in the mountains going up a road that followed a small stream on our right. The drive didn't have any cliffside driving at all that we can recall. Have fun!

    This place was a Christian camp…owned by an amazing lady named Wilma….sadly she wanted to rest and sold the place….each cabin had different names…Josua’s Tent, Noah’s Cabin, Luke’s Cabin…etc. Then it turned into Huttopia….it makes me sad, my family and i spent a very solid 15 years on visits to that place.
