New, the shell ornament sold for 40 dollars. These were popular in the late 80s and 90s. The shell basket was made from a chambered nautilus which is now endangered. The Minoans lived on a volcanic island off the coast of Greece. The volcano erupted and the effects erased the entire civilization as it implodes and sank into the Aegean Sea. It was felt in Egypt. This coinsided with the Book of Exodus which was responsible for the forthcoming plagues. Yes, the skies over Egypt turned red and followed was the total blocking of the Sun.
The booth with the yellow table had watt pottery apple pattern. My mom collected it and I now have her collection. It's not extraordinarily valuable, but every time I spot a piece I think of my Mom❤. It's one of the many happy memories I have of her.
Im gonna tell mom your messing up her table 😂 She truly is such a gem and you are so blessed. Alot of people dont have moms so kind. Its so peaceful watching her help you and love you!!
My mum and aunty used to make those wee hexagonal boxes. They taught my sister and I. We made them with used greetings and Xmas cards and acetate with the pieces crocheted together. A trip down memory lane for me ❤
Holy cow- my Greek archaeology degree comes in handy. You are right that the Minoan oinochoe (oi-knock-o-ee) is almost certainly a reproduction. I think the PP probably refers to Protopalatial period on Crete - original would date to around 2000-1900 BCE
I have a similar piece. Greece started making reproductions copies of the ancient artifacts. So the information you provide is probably accurate as to what the original’s time period
I really enjoyed your video today- so much new stuff to see and learn about. I also learn a lot from your viewers that leave comments- people who have degrees in Greek Archeology, know about reproductions and know about shells that are endangered. What an eclectic group of smart people - I love it!
I’ve collected antique buttons for many years. They are little works of art! The plain multicolor plastic ones you were looking at are possibly vintage, cute, but mostly used for crafts.
I have a table very similar to the yellow one but it has wooden sides and legs with a sectioned drawer on one long side. It has a red top. I use it as a folding table for laundry in my sewing room/office. It used to be in the middle of the kitchen in the house I grew up in, had to keep it!
I have never seen or heard of a wallpaper lamp. I’m going to have to research them now:) I still learn something new from your videos every day. Thank you so much!
Wallpaper lamps are made from wooden rolls with patterns applied on them to use to print wallpaper with ink( you cover with ink than print on paper) Mine I use as a vase for artificial flowers( georgeous) found mine in England They made lots of handmade wallpaper
The Red Scotties at $50? Holy cow, such a deal! I have a similar pair in clear that I paid $40 for a decade ago. Definitely waiting for these boys to hit eBay! They might get to live with my two sets of vintage clear glass Scottie bookends, the black glass set, the pewter set...
That was fun! I enjoy listening to you discuss possibilities. I also flip but often they come home with me to STAY! My house is eclectic and full of unusual pieces. I have a carnival glass candy tray. The color is incredible, isn’t it? Your presentation on eBay is phenomenal! Your lighting booth truly elevated the lovely pieces you choose. I’m in Alaska and it’s hard to find much in our small town, so I look forward to traveling😮 for treasures. Have a great week.
Oh! I loved that Nippon vase. I wish I could scoop it up. I collect the scenic ones and haven’t seen that one. It had some nice moriage on it too. It’s cheaper than the first piece I bought 50 years ago too.
Hi CLL… have watched you for at least 2 years now…think this is the first time commenting?!….Always am tempted to , when I see an English item ( being a ‘Brit’from England)…This video, I saw you pick up a small green glass bud vase with clear base with controlled bubbles….this is English mid century and quite collectable…if you go back to the Black Rose place…it Was worth picking up!… they come in various colours…also blue, red and purple(I think)…Have only ever found 3…. In my charity shop visits over the years…(I love and collect MCM glass, when I can….Hope you find this info useful….Absolutely have always loved your channel !!👍👏
My grandparents had one like that with an insert and 8 chairs. Someone stole it from their storage place along with a lot of other items. A large truck full if item. 😢
@@yvonnemartinez708 They we’re in the antique mall, not Jocelyn’s booth. You could call the antique shop she was in and ask. She had mentioned the booth was “CCL” because it is similar to her code.

Omg!…That’s my vintage yellow table!!…My yellow chairs are a little different though but I’ve had my set for 23 years and I still love it!!😀
I think my gramma had a red set of table and chairs like the yellow. She lived on a farm so I always think of them as farm furniture. ( but cool)
I practically FELT your heart stop with sticker shock when you thought that little shell basket was $100! 🤣 It stunned me, too! 🤯
Your constant chatter never fails to make me smile. ❤❤❤❤
Another great video. When is your next house tour. Love to see your sun room & real birds

I would have bought that yellow table and chairs SO fast! Obviously I don’t have one like you but I was born in 1962 so it feels like home to me too.
@@lisashrestha5023 , if I lived there, I’d be running to buy that. There is something so comforting about it..
I had that yellow set exactly when I was first married kept it for many years then gave to my neighbor. Wish I still had it
I proper laughed out loud when you picked up more jewellery and then said “ I really need to do a whatnot jewellery sale”
😂😊

Good afternoon
Candlewick! Grab the butter dish! I'll buy it for my sister!
I've been lying in bed waiting for this to drop...
Haha, I normally save her for morning, to motivate me in my flipping. But decided to watch.
Yeh i hate it if she is ever late.
I save her videos for a few days & have a marathon!!😀

I think you should do jewelry grab bags on whatnot.... you recently showed a bunch of jewelry you had at the shop....that you forgot you had!! Lol
Love it all👍🌸💖
Yay first thumbs up!
That lamp at 6:22, I bought it at a thrift store for $2. I wonder what the price was in the store🤣🤣
The little Nippon vase would have been mine 😂 We collect it no matter the pattern.
I mean I watch every video but this one was the perfect timing for my brow tint 19-20mins 😂
Great video
The basket marked Foreign is indeed West-German.
The Zane Gray books have been in the CCL booth forever! My father had a huge collection. Back in the 60’s.
How much were the books. I’m a librarian and they would be perfect for my library.
