New, the shell ornament sold for 40 dollars. These were popular in the late 80s and 90s.
The shell basket was made from a chambered nautilus which is now endangered.
The Minoans lived on a volcanic island off the coast of Greece. The volcano erupted and the effects erased the entire civilization as it implodes and sank into the Aegean Sea. It was felt in Egypt. This coinsided with the Book of Exodus which was responsible for the forthcoming plagues. Yes, the skies over Egypt turned red and followed was the total blocking of the Sun.

The booth with the yellow table had watt pottery apple pattern. My mom collected it and I now have her collection. It's not extraordinarily valuable, but every time I spot a piece I think of my Mom❤. It's one of the many happy memories I have of her.
My mum and aunty used to make those wee hexagonal boxes. They taught my sister and I. We made them with used greetings and Xmas cards and acetate with the pieces crocheted together. A trip down memory lane for me ❤

Holy cow- my Greek archaeology degree comes in handy. You are right that the Minoan oinochoe (oi-knock-o-ee) is almost certainly a reproduction. I think the PP probably refers to Protopalatial period on Crete - original would date to around 2000-1900 BCE
I have a similar piece. Greece started making reproductions copies of the ancient artifacts. So the information you provide is probably accurate as to what the original’s time period

I’ve collected antique buttons for many years. They are little works of art! The plain multicolor plastic ones you were looking at are possibly vintage, cute, but mostly used for crafts.

Thanks for the memories... My grandmother had a yellow table and chairs like that after she passed in 1976. we sold it at a swap meet for $100.00

Wallpaper lamps are made from wooden rolls with patterns applied on them to use to print wallpaper with ink( you cover with ink than print on paper)
Mine I use as a vase for artificial flowers( georgeous) found mine in England
They made lots of handmade wallpaper

I have that same yellow table in my kitchen. I don't have the chairs to go with it but I still love the table.
I have a table very similar to the yellow one but it has wooden sides and legs with a sectioned drawer on one long side. It has a red top. I use it as a folding table for laundry in my sewing room/office. It used to be in the middle of the kitchen in the house I grew up in, had to keep it!
I have the goldish bunny. My grandmother bought it for me in the late 70s.

Hi CLL… have watched you for at least 2 years now…think this is the first time commenting?!….Always am tempted to , when I see an English item ( being a ‘Brit’from England)…This video, I saw you pick up a small green glass bud vase with clear base with controlled bubbles….this is English mid century and quite collectable…if you go back to the Black Rose place…it Was worth picking up!… they come in various colours…also blue, red and purple(I think)…Have only ever found 3…. In my charity shop visits over the years…(I love and collect MCM glass, when I can….Hope you find this info useful….Absolutely have always loved your channel !!👍👏
