You might want to try keeping something that smells like you in her crib to help with naps there

Have you went through natural birth? I would like to know more details about recovery down there? I am on 7 and half months and waiting for Due date. a bit scare for cut/ rip and stitch things down there and no idea how should speedy recover.

Hi! Yes I had a natural birth and ended up with a third degree tear. Tbh if you are planning to have an epidural there’s nothing to be afraid of. I could feel the contractions but when I tore I didn’t feel a thing because of the epidural. The wound healing took about 3 weeks but if you do what they tell you and change the pads frequently it shouldn’t be too uncomfortable. I was walking and doing things a few hours after birth. The hardest part I think was to go poop for the first time but they will give you laxatives that should help.

@@yana-f. - Thank you so much for your prompt reply. Yes, i registered for epidural.
May i ask one more question that did you ever use the Perineal bottle to release pain.
Thank you for the advice the hardest part of to go poop as well. At least i have an idea what can happen on my body 🙏

You actually never feel the tearing when giving birth, even without an epidural! It's afterwards that it hurts... I've had 2nd degree tears a few times and they hurt for about a week if taken care of. Use the peri bottle, witchhazel pads and loads of bacitracin or other healing ointment every time you change your pads to help the healing

The best way to avoid a tear is to tell your midwife or Dr. that you wanted to do more gentle pushing if you can and give your tissues more time to stretch. If you do have stitches the best way to heal is to use the peri bottle with very warm water on them every time you use the bathroom. Would not have an epidural to avoid the pain of tearing. Without one you can feel when your body starts naturally wanting to push
