The Zariman crew all died...these people are dead, but the Void recreated them from thought. They both are and are not who they were, both human and not human, both alive and not alive. Remember how when you find Teshin in Duviri he says he's not sure if he died or not? It's all a matter of perspective. This is a concept you're going to have to get your head around if you want to understand what happens next. Can one of you guys who watch his streams live try to get him to listen to Albrechts logs before he tackles 1999. It gives a HUGE amount of context for this stuff. I think if you go into 1999 not hearing the whole thing it's very hard to follow. This line he says particularly is SO important. "I had put the stars within reach, but at what cost? I never spoke of him, that man, trapped in the wall. And while there have been countless souls who have followed me through, with their light-skippers, and field-wave skins and vari-eyed instruments... not a single one ever saw him. Me. That in all that smoked commotion, in all that panic and fear, in that bending light and blinding dark... was it I who escaped? Or the other?"
@@justicebrown1077 Well that's the thing. Teshin is in Duviri because Ballas this-is-Spartaed him through a Solar Rail fissure into the void. Did that kill him and the void recreated him like the Holdfast? Or did he live and get pulled into Duviri by the Drifters will like Lotus's severed hand? He doesn't know. The actual answer is both. Eternalism baby!
@ringosis have you actually looked into eternalism? Why are you confusing it with parallel universes and what not. Eternalism doesn’t change the reality of events. Past, present, and future all happen simultaneously in a box. It’s not multiple pasts, presents, and futures
@@johnstewart1502 The way that Warframe uses eternalism is not it's strict real world philosophical definition. Eternalism doesn't change the reality of events, the void does. 1999 for example is not the history of the current time line in Warframe...that's not the history of the Tenno's reality, it's a new reality created by Albrechts time travel. In our history, Albrecht isn't there, the protoframes don't exist, we don't help them, and that leads to "the event" that you are trying to stop in the 1999 plot. The main conceit here is that the Void underpins reality, and the void exists without a 4th dimension. It has no time. That's why Albrecht refers to it as The Vast Untime. And that timelessness can be used to create paradoxical realities. Different versions of the past and future. Eternalism means that Albrecht can't change what has happened or what is going to happen, because the future is as real as the past. Which meant the only way Albrecht could escape what Wally was going to do was to travel back in "time". But it's not really time travel...it's like creating a junction in time through the void that creates another reality with its own future. That's why what's happening in 1999 is not affecting "now"...if it could, it would prove reality is not eternalistic. The point is, without time, there's no course of events, no one thing after the other, just possibilities that may or may not happen (Teshin dying or not dying). Nothing resolves in the void because time does not pass. You can have a conclusion without the passage of time. I think where they are ultimately going with this idea is that while reality follows eternalistic rules, the void does not. I think the void is going to end up being revealed as like the pandora's box of possible events that humanities eternalistic perspective of reality is created from, and that reality and thought aren't as different as we think. I think Wally's main goal is to collapse Khra (time) into a singular event that he can control and stopping the 1999 event is exactly what he wants because it creates a timeline where the void breaks through into reality WAY before humanity is prepared to deal with it. I think he is jealous that that's our experience of time and covets it. For him, that timelessness is a prison he is trying to escape, like it was for the Drifter. And Albrecht knows what that escape would mean for a void entity like Wally...his ultimate subjugation of all conscious thought. The take away here is that Wally isn't evil. He's not some invading force. I think he's the conceptual embodiment of human consciousness trying to escape a timeless prison. He's Albrecht's will (and possibly the will of all humans who have observed the void) trying to flee the horror of Untime. Endless meaningless existence. I think that doom is what drives people who enter the void mad, what creates angels, what compels Wally to invade. Notice how the first interaction anyone has with Wally is perceiving them as a reflection of themself. I think the big reveal of this arc is going to be that Wally isn't some other, unknowable entity. He's the void manifestation of your own consciousness trying to escape the void. We are wally, wally is us.
Fun fact and small spoiler about the Holdfast...... All the Holdfast NPCs you see were crew aboard the Zariman that gave their lives to protect the children from the rabid adults and they died brutal deaths doing so. The gunsmith for example was getting ripped to shreds by the Rabids before he pulled a pin on a belt of grenades blowing himself and a group of them up.

Yet the void tried to somehow make them look elagant or like they are dancing eventhough when you see their environment, you can see how horrible of death they died.

I'm so glad you're loving this game Aztecross! At this juncture I might recommend checking out some lore videos (while being careful to avoid spoilers for stuff you haven't done yet)! You seem to be loving the story (as we all do)! There's a lot of explanations to warframe's lore that is buried in optional collectibles and objectives (collecting fragments of things, scanning this and that, etc.), and peeling back all of these layers and subsequently connecting their dots can take a long time. (For instance, Ordis has an entire backstory that you only get by scanning all, or at least many, of the Cephalon fragments that you find throughout the whole star chart.) There are some good content creators out there who do a good job of compiling all the bits of lore and story strewn about and seeing all of them together can really help pull the warframe story together and make it make more sense! Additionally, many of these lore content creators dabble in theories and predictions about warframe, because (as you've maybe already noticed) just about every time we're given answers to one thing, ten more questions crop up xD. It's a lot of fun to speculate on where things are going once you get a grasp of everything that we do know and that has been revealed!
I really love that you are into Warframe now! Great game, and people seem to like it as well. I can see people starting Warframe, enjoying it and dropping out of Destiny 2 - fully uunderstandable. Same for me. But one thing that I am missing in Warframe is the difficult, team oriented Grandmaster Nightfalls, Dungeons and Raids. People seem to forget that Destiny 2 still HAS some great content and just bash it out of angriness - they are not to blame, Bungie indeed fvcks up hard lately - but some great, memorable content is there (And some great still sunset lol).
No real endgame. Steel path is awful and Archimedea is designed by DE one main reason: They want you to spend more to buy more slots/weapons/forma/catalysts etc and get a wider arsenal to use. I don’t care what anyone thinks I’m not spending forma on fucking heat sword, jaw sword or the other 80 dogshit weapons Forcing us to play with rng weapons is not fun. unlike in duviri, in deep archimedea if you don't have the weekly frames/ weapons you are NOT provided generic build ones like in duviri The main problem with this is Forma. Playing wide is great in idea until you realize it takes TONS of Forma. Most warframes will take around 3 Forma to build and weapons can take 6 or more to make a good build, especially weapons that are considered "mastery fodder". To really have a wide arsenal you need THOUSANDS of forma to make decent builds with every weapon/frame in the game. And to make matters worse Forma is scarce if your FTP. So really, by those metrics, only players that started the game at the beginning and forma'd weapons/frames as they released are in the endgame.
Made a comment a month ago or so saying i was waiting for cross to play warframe. Glad we're finally at that point, and its great to see hes loving it.
Cross, with the Nataruk, there's a curved rectangle in the last like 1/3 of the reticle, if you stop the charge in that rectangle, you do increased crit rate and damage, like HUGELY increased. Thhe closer to full it is, the higher the increase. Like, my average crit with my built is about 300k, but timed right, I have seen SIX MILLION! Also, there are different stages of crit, as the chance can go WELL over 100%, this goes for ALL weapons not just the Nataruk. Yellow is a normal crit, orange is a critical crit, and red is a critical critical crit. Like, if you have 101% crit, you have 100% to get a yellow and 1% to get an orange. And the crit damages multiply each other. Like if you have 10x crit damage, yellow will multiply the damage that would have been done for 10x, orange will multiply 100x, and red multiplies 1000x! Nataruk is a crit weapon with stupid punch-through. Build it for it's main damage type and crit, ignore all other stats it has. Charge time, status, slash, ignore those. Focus on Pierce, crit chance, and crit damage. It's the best bow in the game, one of the highest per-shot weapons, and one of the best crit weapons, if not THE best.
You explained critical chance right but sadly critical multipliers don't work as multiplier against against themselves anymore - haven't since they reworked critical years ago (2014 ??). It is actually much a weaker multiplier increase past yellow critical than you may have realized. You can look this up on the wiki but I'll explain it here in this comment. The formula for calculating a critical damage hit is: Multiplier = 1 + Tier x ((1 + Mods) x Base - 1) The 'Tier' of a critical hit is denoted for each tier of new critical threshold you passed. No critical = 0 Yellow Crit = 1 Orange Crit = 2 (First) Red Crit = 3 So lets plug in an example using an unmodded weapon with 2.8 base critical damage. First shot wasn't a critical hit and resolved as: Multiplier = 1 + 0 x ((1 + 0) x 2.8 - 1) Multiplier = 1 + 0 x (1.8) Multiplier = 1 Second Shot is a Yellow crit: Multiplier = 1 + 1 x ((1 + 0) x 2.8 - 1) Multiplier = 1 + 1 x (1.8) Multiplier = 2.8 Third Shot is an orange crit: Multiplier = 1 + 2 x ((1 + 0) x 2.8 - 1) Multiplier = 1 + 2 x (1.8) Multiplier = 4.6 So as you can see the damage increase going from a yellow to an orange is on ~64.2% more damage. 4.6 / 2.8 = 1.6428 A red crit is a multiplier of 6.4 which is only ~39.1% more damage than an orange crit was. 6.4 / 4.6 = 1.3913
@@norunaround1624 Didn't know, and I've been playing since 2013, or it's been so long I forgot. That kinda sucks, but hey. At least you can still over crit and it gives a nice bump in damage.

Mine is only a hypothesis but I think the Zariman got stuck in two realities after the Drifter escaped Duvari (because Cross XD), since Wally is free, that means it can influence the ship and attract those who hear the song to it. This ship is kind of fascinating in design, you see the remnants of battles between the crew, followed by the void contamination that plagues the entire ship, spirals everywhere with angels popping from where they can, I'm in love with the design principles of the tileset.

That chatter wasnt talking nonsense when he said it's *a* reality. A core part of the cosmology in warframe is a philosophy called "Eternalism". Basically, every thing that might've happened has happened, in you're just living in one of those realities. There is one reality where Quinn is possibly alive.
No that’s not Eternalism. Eternalism is past, present, and future happening at the same time. You aren’t living in a different reality nor is there multiple. You don’t exist in the the past because you aren’t born and you may exist in the future, but the only constant is you existing in your current present. It’s all happening at the same time an era where you don’t exist, One where you do, and one where you might still exist. Parallel realities is closer to the idea of parallel worlds which is not Eternalism. What would be Eternal about a second world or reality?
@johnstewart1502 No, they are pretty much the same. It's why Drifter exists. The universe where we took the deal, The Operator, and the one where we didn't IE the Drifter. The price of the deal with our eternalism counterparts, you can see it in the cutscene when we condense (pretty sure that's this quest). All of our potential futures and present moments collapsed in that deal, leaving only 2 realities. We accept the deal. We do not accept the deal.
Unless you do steel path zariman or eidolons you literally don't need anything better than sirocco in 99% of cases. It's nice to have a good amp but you don't really need it besides those two things.

We are wally, wally is us.
he has already done 1999 on stream(i think he heard the logs but i didn't watch that part

Good to see you’re enjoying warframe, Tenno
To explain the situation with Quinn: he a f the rest of the Holdfast died long ago but because they wanted redemption, the void decided to give them a second chance at life. But in his despair, he was giving in the song of the void and becoming a Void Angel (like Kira).... But you as Tenno gave them hope and a new purpose. Your energy gave them new life.
All of those Void Angels within the walls were all people once. Look closely at them and you see how tragically some of them died.

He did watch lore videos. He needs build videos now.
@@urazz7739 Oh nice! I can't usually catch his streams since they're when I'm at work so I didn't know!

I don’t care what anyone thinks I’m not spending forma on fucking heat sword, jaw sword or the other 80 dogshit weapons
Forcing us to play with rng weapons is not fun.
unlike in duviri, in deep archimedea if you don't have the weekly frames/ weapons you are NOT provided generic build ones like in duviri
The main problem with this is Forma.

Huh, in all my time playing, I've never heard this type of build strategy for the Nataruk.
I'll have to give it a shot
it's still good to build for slash, just through the means of Hunter Munitions instead of adjusting slash weighting
@@K-dis_Boher True
You explained critical chance right but sadly critical multipliers don't work as multiplier against against themselves anymore - haven't since they reworked critical years ago (2014 ??). It is actually much a weaker multiplier increase past yellow critical than you may have realized. You can look this up on the wiki but I'll explain it here in this comment.
The formula for calculating a critical damage hit is:
Multiplier = 1 + Tier x ((1 + Mods) x Base - 1)
The 'Tier' of a critical hit is denoted for each tier of new critical threshold you passed.
No critical = 0
Yellow Crit = 1
Orange Crit = 2
(First) Red Crit = 3
So lets plug in an example using an unmodded weapon with 2.8 base critical damage.
First shot wasn't a critical hit and resolved as:
Multiplier = 1 + 0 x ((1 + 0) x 2.8 - 1)
Multiplier = 1 + 0 x (1.8)
Multiplier = 1
Second Shot is a Yellow crit:
Multiplier = 1 + 1 x ((1 + 0) x 2.8 - 1)
Multiplier = 1 + 1 x (1.8)
Multiplier = 2.8
Third Shot is an orange crit:
Multiplier = 1 + 2 x ((1 + 0) x 2.8 - 1)
Multiplier = 1 + 2 x (1.8)
Multiplier = 4.6
So as you can see the damage increase going from a yellow to an orange is on ~64.2% more damage.
4.6 / 2.8 = 1.6428
A red crit is a multiplier of 6.4 which is only ~39.1% more damage than an orange crit was.

Hey, taking three shots from Nataruk is more than most people can take. Kira is above average.
