I love the first man that address Imam Ogbomosho, he said exactly what is in mind. The fire of this issue ought to have died long ago if Imam had been patient, calm and more respectful. "W'Allahi iwa omo kekere patapata ni Imam ti bo o". Paying too much attention to what he ought to have ignored. Meanwhile, i am of the opinion that Yoruba Land should stop the habit and culture of picking Imam from few selected houses instead of picking their Imam from the most knowledgeable from the city/town. It's crude, uncivilized, and the act when keenly looked at is against the tradition of the Prophet (SAW)..
May Almighty Allah prevail on all concerned. The most crucial intervention is for the Imam to respect the Shoun as paramount. The Imam should also withdraw the court case. Genuine apology should be tendered to the King. The King should then prevail on all concerned to forgive and endorse the Imam by the grace of Almighty Allah. The agrieved members of Ayilara family should be compensated to "safe their face" by both the Imam and the King. God bless.

What I see is that even when the previous king made him the imam, the family members were not satisfied. That was why he quickly went to meet the new king to win him to his side. Initially, I had painted the Iman black from what the other aggrieved party said before I heard his own side of story.. Walahii, it's very bad judge from one angle. Just one thing I learnt is the fact that, Bi eeyan bafi omode je oye, you need exercise patience while dealing with people u r priviledged to lead, don't forget, there are aggrieved members who do not in the first place admits that u merit d position even though they were d one that chooses u. The only thing I don't approve is for the Chief Imam to engage in war of words with Kabiyesi during his sermons. The Muslim Ummah should allow peace to reign. Whether the Chief Imam is from Ile Ayilara or not, what is important is that he must be a COMPETENT Muslim capable of leading the Muslim community?
