Put ice in the coupe with some water before starting on the drink and the glass will be 32 degrees, much cooler than the refrigerator. Toss the water and ice out of the glass, then pour the cocktail in.
Guzzman 65 did you think before typing this? You can use any glass you want, and if this video showed the recipe for the coup glass I would say a glass is 2-3 times bigger, so do the recipe 2-3 times as much.....not that hard
What is a regular glass? The drink is already 2oz rum. If you double or triple this, by the time you get to the end of the drink, you aren't going to care how it was made and it will be warm, unless you're just chugging them, then why make it right at all?
Anyone else who shows up wondering this: as a lazy move I just take a half a shot glass of sugar and fill it with water, and pour it in. The shaking mixes the sugar in well enough for me.

Never had a daiquiri that wasnt frozen! While they are probably great, they are just mixed drinks. Daiquiris are frozen yumminess not chilled mixed drinks. Atleast in south Louisiana they are
@@darbylachico4977 Actually, in originality, these cocktails in the video are tru daquiris. Wizzed derivatives came after. While still popular, they are not the traditional definition of the drink.
You can also make pink daiquiri.. just 2 dashes of grenadine on the top of a regular daiquiri... garnish with a cherry ! 🍒
One drink to rule them all
He should’ve garnished the classic Daikiri with a lime wheel
He actually does that in a separate video (on howcast).

As a bartender, this was beautiful!
Ginger daquiris are great. Ginger syrup or ginger liqueur.
The long Island iced tea is my favourite
I like to make Cuba Libres and some kind of a Strawberry Mojito/Pina Colada hybrid.
Good job
What kind of jar is it where he has the simple syrup does anyone know
Standard carafe bro!
30 mil of Rum needs bottle of Juice sire, what would be the accompanying meal to those, before and after
Caribbean cocktails go best with Caribbean food! Big flavours with big flavours!
Can you use a regular glass? If so, how many ounces of each ingredient should you use? Thanks!

@@jarrettthomas4865 No need to be condescending about it, geez.
@@tempestandacomputer6951 why not? The original comment deserves the condescension
You should make the cocktail with the original amounts.
