Emery hasn’t been great so far but he clearly wants us to press high and be as aggressive as possible which Ozil really isn’t able to. Increasingly in the modern game you can’t just sit around and wait for the ball, you have to be robust, tenacious and if ur an attacking midfielder, a fluid link between Attack and defence. Look at debruyne and Eriksen, they create on the same level as Ozil but they do do many other things for the team and are getting paid much less for it. Huge mistake to give him that contract
Ozil has always been one of my favorite players since his debut with the German national team. It’s honestly upsetting to see how he’s been treated in his career. Such an amazing passer and such ability - he makes the game look easy. Even as a fan of Arsenal, I wish he would have spent his prime years at a club that didn’t have him feeding the likes of Welbeck, Walcott and Giroud. Now we have Auba and Laca, yet Emery won’t even play him... ridiculous.

his passes always finds a teammate. Its his team mates fault if he cant score or lose possession. Emery must play ozil behind the front 3 along with ceballos and a strong cdm. (definately not Xhaka). If our forwards are fit and fine, we shouldn't hesitate to attack. Emery thought 2-0 is okay and even after 2-1 he tried to play defensive. If wenger was here, he would've added more firepower asking to push forward.
