My step dad grew up in Tacoma back in the 1940s. He played football as a teenager on that field. He told stories of holes occasionally opening up on the playfield…sometimes right under a student!
He said that it happens once or twice during games he was in! The deepest sinkhole he mentioned was 3 feet deep he didn’t say if it happened during a game or not.@@brandyjean7015
What's the deal with the wooded area down there- to the right of stadium high School if you are in the stadium facing up looking up at the school? I ride there past there sometimes and it looks like it used to be a park at some point in time. There are some gates and very faded signs, possibly some grown over trails as well. I've always wanted to go down there and do some exploring.
chris staudinger your the BEST!

In spite of my fondness for this stadium in '10 Things I Hate about You'... that was very shoddy treatment of those poor widows.
