Hi! The focuser is not plastic, like the Orion. The Apertura AD series focuser is made of machined aluminum for optimal build quality and performance. This is the same focuser on our AD8,10,12 series Dobsonians. Thanks!
Hello I am HUGE space nerd who loves to watching up on the night sky with full of stars, I have small telescope for starters but I've been thinking buying a new telescope and that Apertura ad6 dobsonian telescope looks really powerful and beautiful, but it's price $499/499€ is too much for me maybe I'll check cheapear telescopes I wan't to buy a telescope where I can put my phone or camera for it. Get a refractor, not a dobsonian, for astrophotos.

Does this come with a dust cover for the front of the tube?
is there enough internal focus to use a dslr ?
