The real reason people say they don't want a cat or even a dog is because they know that the moment the animal looks at them with trust in their eyes, it's all over.
Agreed. It devastated my husband when our cat died. He allowed another, nearly a year later but is too attached and says this is our last one. Pets are part of our lives and it is hard to grieve for them.
@@libraryBDL It always is. But, there's always plenty more that need love, so I view it as honoring their memory to get another and give them as good a life as I can. One at I time is all I can handle. :)
I work twelve hours, plus about forty minutes plus either side for the commute. I say I don't want pets because it's not fair to them based on my schedule and I don't feel like spending the money for them. However semicolon I now have my dad's two cats since he passed away.
I’ve had dogs most of my seven decades. They’ve been there for me through thick and thin. They’ve all been great, but a few years ago I had a serious accident and was laid up for several months. I was in quite a bit of pain. My two lads at the time barely left my side. They knew what was going on and they helped me through it. I will always remember and be be grateful for them. And do you know what? Cynic though I might be, when I look into my dogs’ eyes it makes me believe there actually is a God.

My last dog, dope-on-a-rope, whose 2 braincells never made friends, totally shattered me. His incredible neediness. . . Wow. He really was something. Made it to 14, nearly 15 years, heart failure got my Vunderdog, Ruperto.
So sorry but I’m laughing at the dope on a rope crack. I feel your loss though. May you find another companion equally as dumb, and as lovable as Ruperto.❤
Long, long time ago when I was still at home, our neighbor’s cat fell in love with our dog. When our dog passed from cancer, Tiffany wouldn’t go home. She got so skinny so I started feeding her. One night, forecast to be extremely cold, I begged my dad to let Tiffany in. He was adamant that she needed to go home. The next day I got up, came downstairs, and found Tiffany eating in the Kitchen. I asked my Dad and he said he couldn’t stand looking at her as she sat in the window. We never told the neighbors but Tiffany became an our indoor cat that day. I even took her with me when I moved into my own place.
They were obviously brought up without a cat or dog, I cannot imagine a life without a cat or a dog. Having that feeling when you’re with them and their response is awesome… 🥰
Can't help but laugh but the one that got me crying tears of laughter was at 1.07 "It's a Rodent" "I got him 2 new coats so he's not cold" and "Make sure he eats the lunch I made him"....... Too too funny!!!!!
I'm 59 and would love another dog, but over the years ive lost 6 to illness and old age and i can't do the hurt of losing them anymore, i still miss them all ❤
The ones who don't want the "damn pets" are usually the ones who need them the most & often are trying to protect themselves from the day they know they will be the one taking the family pet on their last trip to wait for their humans at the Rainbow Bridge. Animals are the greatest healers on our planet ❣️
I found a 2 y/o Standard Poodle on Petfinder that I wanted to adopt. When I told my husband, he said, A Poodle, I don’t want a foo-foo dog! He wanted to get a Doberman like he had growing up. We got the Poodle for me. But, like most dogs, they try and bond with the Alpha male of the household. And, did they bond. We had him until he was 14. He became my husband’s shadow. My husband didn’t have any children and called him his son. Both have passed away now, but left great memories, of a joyful house, with pets.
I've come to the realization that pets (dogs and cats especially) have been put into our lives for many reasons. They reinforce our humanity, they (teach) show us the concept of unconditional love, a concept we humans sadly lack, and exemplify that all creation is sentient.
I dog sat a border collie. She barked at her owner for getting too close to me when he came by to pick her up. Every time they went for a walk she’d try to drag him to my house. Two weeks later she moved back in forever.
I've always heard that people hate either this animal or that animal. How can you hate a dog or a cat? What the heck did one ever do to you? Animals are better than many of the people walking the earth today. They give real love not phony love like people.
My husband was very unenthusiastic about an elderly cat that I took in ..he would moan about her because she was partially feral and I had to toilet train her ..he would moan that the cat was climbing on counters and catching birds ..with a lot of hard work and patience that cat is toilet trained and dosen’t climb on counters ,she does still go after birds ..he has warmed to her and tells everyone what a good cat she is ..
My husband when we met: I only like big dogs. My husband now with his two 3 pound chihuahuas that he pushes in a stroller so they can go with us and not be lonely at home🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
in 8 years my mom went from, if it eats dry [cat] food it can stay, to (she would sit on the front porch in a shirt and underpants and eat a slice of Kraft singles) that damn cat ate that whole piece of cheese.
These are cute but my neighbors keep getting all these animals that the dad says no to. They spend their lives neglected in the yard. It's awful to watch.
I guess they say no because they don’t want to go through the pain of loosing them when they were kids… but once they have them and those paws 🐾 walk into your heart you can’t dismiss them plus animals take a lot of shit from humans yet they love you , not like real humans in the house who have emotions yet demonstrate anger & hostility the last thing you want
Never Again!!!!! Translation, they had a cat or a dog before that they loved and when they passed it broke their heart to where they could never love like that again
My EX husband’s and I first fight about having animals in the house. Should have been my first clue. This will always be my test if I ever get married again.
Look at how all these pets adore their dads.

It's what they don't know
Open your heart and you will never look back. The relationship we have with our furry, or feathered, or scaly buddies, is amazing.

“If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.” -Will Rogers
I believe all dogs do go to heaven, but not all people , I could be wrong, but I think Mark Twain said this 😊
Daily Reminder: NEVER trust anyone who "hates" animals....
....or, the person who they run away from.

It's a proven fact that pets are fantastic for your mental health
Maybe so, but bad if you're allergic.
@@jengsci8268 I 'm allergic to cats but I only react to siamese, abyssians and crosses. so my moggy tabby is perfectly ok.
OMG, This warms my heart! Nothing like the love of a pet!
😘
We’re not trying to avoid the love. We’re trying to avoid the pain when they die.

Pets bring a special kind of happiness to us humans.😊
Pets can melt the heart ❤
Thank you.
Wholesome AF!!
Pets are wonderful assets for our hearts.
The look on the dogs face swinging with his dad! Priceless.

Who can resist unconditional love
It's so great that all these pets are being loved and taken care of. 😊
This is when miracles happen 😊😊😊
A man is a pushover for a good dog. I should know.
Pets equal love. 🐩
That was so beautiful. I'm actually a little choked up. 😉
Our cat adopted us. My husband loved that cat.
I enjoyed this. Thank you!
Well, that was a great serotonin rush. Thanks for the great video! 🥰
😍
The people that gripe and resist know deep down that they're suckers for a pet's affection.
The only bad thing is when we lose them. 😢
I always comfort myself that they had food and blankets and love , my remaining cats right now are 18 and 19 ...
such beautiful photos
A great collection: perfect contrast between texts and pictures, I had a lot of laughing.

I swear pets will seek out the one person who avoids them and then go on a charm offensive. It works.

I laughed and loved every picture
Kitty cats LOVE men✨😊✨
Love the teals and rusts. The greens are looking too flat. Keep on Pressing. No tubes. HA!
Pets keep us human. They love us when nobody will.
My dad was like oh that is not a dog about my chihuahua but he also loved him but tried not to show it. May they both RIP.
Cats are the best.
😍
My late father was the same.
Mine, always favorite videos......

Gustavo es muy guapo
It's because we've lost too many by then and we aren't sure if our hearts can bear to lose another. This seems very nice. In a few years, look again.
There are always more waiting for safety and love ...
Its like they know who they have to win over.

Same with my husband - he now has two daughters 🥹
Never, NEVER wanted a goldfish. But, well, it's just Cattie Steve & I going for a walk every night.

poor old suckers! lol
The lesson is all father is a tsundere
Men in general are not used to the concept of unconditional love when they bond with a pet it's game over for the rest of the family
Maybe they didnt want one to avoid the enevitible loss of one
The Lord sends them to us when He thinks we need the help…or the humbling.
💕
Ah oh, so it's safe for me to say, "I want a dog." Or "I want a cat." The opposite should do and I'm good to go.

Cats and dogs target the ‘no pet’ person on purpose.

Most of this male bluster is strictly for show.
With so much animal cruelty around, this really hits the spot.🙏💌😍

I only ever saw my father cry twice and once was when we had to euthanise our old dog.
He was absolutely broken
