When we built our bespoke home eleven years ago we put the slabs of our stone up the walls to the upper cabinets and behind the stove, it was the best decision we made, it’s so easy to clean and looks so lovely, every backsplash in any wet bar space is so easy to clean and protects the walls. We bought all the slabs in the cut/color and used it for the bars, counters, island and breakfast table. Worth every penny!
You chose the colours the right way around with the beige in the kitchen is lovely since it has the right amount of warmth ☑ the white in the utility room is perfect 😍
The finished product is so lovely, you've truly got immaculate taste. I especially like that fact that given the finish you've aimed for, your kitchen won't feel outdated in five to ten years from now; it has quite tasteful intemporal feel to it.

Hi Claire! Beautiful kitchen!! I love the idea of a kitchen marble countertop and backsplash! So indulgent! We have an island with a marble top that we eat/work on most of the time and we have the perfect solution to any stains. Quickly mix some baking soda with a few drops of water into a paste and smear it over the stain. Leave for a few hours and wipe away. It worked perfectly for my constant coffee & curry stains. 8 years in, our island top still looks brand new. I’m using the coffee station idea if we ever have a new home! Love it! I can’t believe you mentioned the reason you liked painted cabinets over machine sprayed cabinets! This is the exact thought I had and every time I’ve expressed it to anyone else they look at me like I have three heads. I want to be able to touch up my cabinets easily and repaint them in ten years when I’m bored of the original color. My dad said to “just hire someone to reface them in ten years”. As if! I’m so glad someone else made the same decision I want to about painted cabinets for the exact same reason. 😄

Love love love the color swap Claire! The kitchen marble looks AMAZING with the beige color in the kitchen. I love that you don’t have any handles. All the design tips were very useful. Love how you hid everything keeping the kitchen clean. Your fridge looks spotless - now I need organizing bins for the fridge. I recently built our home and kitchen was very thought through - yet I still learned from you.
Would love to see more of your kitchen, further views and more views, walking all around the island and view into the kitchen from your table at the end of the island.

But, alas, I’m in Australia, where it is impossible to find a bespoke, timber kitchen maker. And the one I have found, is very expensive. I’ll see how much I’m willing to part with for the best 💚

Super fabulous! Seamless and complimentary to your other divinely furnished living space. Well thought out with lovely details. The marble worktop and wall though….just superb ..beautiful marbling…one of the best I have seen 😍😍😍😍 Along with some useful tips that are really helpful…and worth considering if buying a new kitchen. Thought the double door pantry was great, and agree it looks so much nicer than a solid door, and offers more ease of use and flexibility. Love it Claire 😍

Personally I find Timothy Alton furniture to be gawdy .... the big mirror with the lights , the over tufted sofas scream tacky opulence. But if that’s your taste more power to you

I won't choose a kitchen bench because I'm probably too heavy-handed. I cook, among other things, snitzel, which requires a stable and stretch-resistant bench.
Your thought about painted cabinets and when you said that when you get tired of the color, just repaint. i love the idea.
when you show the coffee cabinet I'm a bit puzzled, coffee, tea and toast emit water vapor and (smell) how have you solved the ventilation?
Your hot water tap could it replace the tea kettle?

I am thrilled to have stumbled across your video because these were exactly the door fronts I was looking for. I fist saw them on Blakes London and then on Melissa’s channel and I absolutely adore this French boiserie style wall panel like aesthetic. I am trying to find a Canadian cabinet maker who can create these style door fronts. They are only available in the UK I believe from my research. And yes, creamy warm neutrals are a classic and timeless choice that always look chic!

FYI to those doing kitchens. It’s very easy if you want that clean backsplash. Plugs go under the cabinets. You can add to existing cabinets but of course easier if having made.

We have them all the time in America in our homes and it’s THE BEST decision. The smell, the mess, it’s all hidden away. Super easy to pull open to toss things away and it slides closed (if you have the slow close option). HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

It happens all the time. I would say most days I spray with sauces etc. i just wipe it but make sure I do it right away. Seems to be fine so far but also accepted there will be the odd stain to come.

I feel like we don't see the whole kitchen at all, is this in the living room? I am confused
I think you see the round table at the end of the kitchen that leads to the living room..
If you set your “play back” speed in the very beginning to .25 you can see the whole kitchen at a slower speed . The kitchen is a U shaped and is open onto the new extension which has an island and at the end of the island is her round glass table with a rounded bench that is a part of the island.
Like the replies said, you can see the full room in slow mo the very start. No it’s not in the living room; it’s our kitchen and dining space which also has a sofa. It’s a family (kitchen and eating) space, it’s not our living room.
