no matter with polygel you use it’s always recommended to cure it for 60 seconds and if they keep popping of maybe the surface of your nail + nail tip is too smooth for it to stick on, that’s what i’ve learned after learning how to do my own nails
If your polygel is too soft , put it in cold water to stiffen it up. It’s pretty warm where I am too this time of year and that does play a role in the temp of polygel and the cure time of acrylics. The set still came out cute

@@itzAurora_Xoxo I first ever started with polygel when I first started nails which was six or seven months ago now and found it a lot easier to learn with I will still say that I am still a beginner and I am currently working on acrylic but to me I found it a lot easier to work with polygel but everybody’s opinions Will differ. One thing I will say about polygel is if you use a nail form sticker or dual form it stays where you put it and I found that really easy to work with because when it came to Having to use my left hand I was always struggling with moving quickly so the polygel never dries until you cure it and I found that useful. Another thing I like about polygel is it doesn’t have an overpowering smell like acrylic does. Meanwhile there are monomers out there that have no smell but to me it seemed like they don’t work correctly as the ones With the strong smell or sometimes I would have yellowing issues with the non-smelling monomer. So I do tend to see myself taking breaks from the acrylic due to the strong smells. Another thing I liked about polygel is that it’s very easy to file but you don’t want to over file it because of how easy it files away. Another tip I will give you is that if you can get the polygel clips it makes it a lot easier to work with the polygel when using the dual forms and smoothing underneath the nail and I found it also helping me keep the nail together and making sure that there was no air bubbles or lifting this isn’t a requirement but it would help you. if you use the nail form stickers it’s also really easy to do on that too because all you have to do is follow the lines and To me it seemed easier to get those smooth edges so honestly whatever you prefer would work I found myself using the dual forms more though because all you had to do was put the Poygel in the nail put the nail on clean around the cuticle area and smooth underneath and then cure it and pop off the dual form. Another easy thing about polygel is you don’t have to ratio the liquid to polygel when working with acrylic you have to get your monomer to bead ratio correctly so it’s not too runny but not too dry but when it came to polygel I found myself not having that issue so one thing I will say is that polygel is a little bit less stress-free than acrylic. One thing I will say is just continue watching videos that’s where I learned all of my current information that I have now for polygel and acrylic and I tend to understand more when I was watching a video and they were explaining it or showing me how to do it. I hope this helps you a little bit in understanding polygel a bit more and I hoped I helped in some areas.

I also was thinking the forms looked tricky to work with but with polygel it does appear like there is more control there so that is so awesome to know..the clips, what do they look like..I think they're sort of like clothes pegs yes ??
