I am the daughter of an evangelical minister who is now an atheist. I came to that conclusion based on my personal study of what reality I live in, the evidence that led to scientific fact and theory. Islam does not tolerate bigotry of any kind. I urge you to please pick up an English translation of the Noble Qur'aan. The "Clear Qur'aan" is a pretty good translation and easy to understand. All your questions will be answered, your soul will find peace. May Allah almighty guide you and all sincere souls to Islam.

If believing in Allah gives you peace in tragedy in your life, embrace it. But please, do research into the beliefs that affect other human beings. It is your responsibility to do so. I wish you well in your life’s journey. Always keep learning. There’s so much wonder and awe to learn about. There’s also alot of violence and cruelty in the animal kingdom and human history. Biology and history, learn in smaller bits. If you learn too much at once, it can easily become depressing.

Many Christians sadly become atheist because the doctrine of Christianity is so contradictory and there has been so many pagan rituals and beliefs introduced. So when there are any challenges faced by a person, or the person questions any of the core beliefs, the faith does not give them the answers and so they are disillusioned and turn away from God. However, I suggest u to please heed your own advice. Take time to read and learn before taking a decision to follow a faith. Atheism is a faith as well.
I like many millions have found ultimate peace in Islam. I am a sceptic and do thorough research before accepting anything. With Islam, the more you read and learn, the more convinced you are of its truth. Your soul feels like it has returned home and everything just makes sense. It allows you to deal with lifes challenges in the most beautiful way because you have an innate understanding that whatever is happening to you, is by your Allahs decree. You are where you supposed to be, facing the challenges He is giving you to see if u will still turn to Him in remembrance and prayer, and to bear patience. We have the understanding that this is but a temporary world before we move on to the eternal hereafter. So we strive not for "success" in this world but for the next. To do this, u must excel in His worship, following His commands, and doing your best by your fellow mankind, irrespective of their colour, gender, nationality or faith. Islam does not tolerate bigotry of any kind.
I urge you to please pick up an English translation of the Noble Qur'aan. The "Clear Qur'aan" is a pretty good translation and easy to understand. All your questions will be answered, your soul will find peace.
May Allah almighty guide you and all sincere souls to Islam.
