Nice video. California is such a desolate poor place in terms of vegetation compared to rich forested east coast usa. Mostly rock and dust and full sunray UV all the time. I believe it has an effect on people's character. I would enjoy a visit but if i lived in such a landscape over time i would miss the rich vibrant forest. And i know there are some micro climates near the Cali coast where there are forests but it's minimal and most of the state is arid, including the center valley which is watered for cultures but is in fact also an arid climate.
