GRAMMY, CMA and ACM award winner Ashley McBryde cut her teeth playing country songs in biker bars - and it shows. The Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere (Warner Music Nashville) charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, all en route to landing a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. McBryde closed out 2019 with ACM New Female Artist, CMT Breakout Artist, a New Artist of the Year win at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards and two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.” Her follow-up Never Will was tagged by Rolling Stone as one of the most anticipated of the year alongside NPR, who also ranked her Top 10 RIAA Platinum-Certified single “One Night Standards” as one of the best songs of 2019. The album earned McBryde a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making Never Will the only album nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACMs, CMAs and the Recording Academy in the same award season. Her GRAMMY-winning duet with Carly Pearce, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” went all the way to No. 1 and earned McBryde and Pearce the ACM and CMA award for Musical Event of the Year. McBryde was also honored with the 2022 CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the United States. Her collaborative project Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville featuring Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Pillbox Patti, Caylee Hammack, Aaron Raitiere and Benjy Davis earned McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making her a six-time GRAMMY nominee. The project earned McBryde her second consecutive nomination for CMA Album of the Year, along with Music Video of the Year for “Light On In The Kitchen” from her latest critically acclaimed album, The Devil I Know.

Started out as a horrible day, my coffee maker broke and it was generally just a crappy start to the day. I'm an expat living in CHina and well we started back to work today and itwasn't a great start with no coffee. I sat down to grade papers and saw that I Missed this "All Cooped up" and it made my horrible morning wonderful! Love your music.

Bro I will forever debate the fact that the drummer is the BEAST of the band they bang those songs out repeatedly night after night and they are behind the whole band and receive little attention or acknowledgement that they deserve..For obvious reasons the lead vocalist get their blessings for delivering the message ...as I said he was into the MAIDEN I dug it he was my baby they had a sick beat and the lead he wud plant his foot on the speaker and just scream it to you! I was like that is my baby I wud never judge him but yo I really kid not understand shit he was saying!🤪But I did crack the code while living with my mom he consumed my thoughts I told her everything that had ever happened to me and all about him ...I told her I said there is another concert coming up I know he is gonna be there I just want to see him ..I need to explain why?? I always would laugh to myself and think he deserves it he wants it,and the day that is the right day just me and him alone not in someone else's bed I was gonna give to him this thing that I called a vessel he was really healing me so then I would open up and reveal it to him give it to him on our terms no one else's just me and him...But warden wanted to destroy our bond so swiftly that she was going to finally send me back to my momma who was also like me in the beginning broken and I had always begged for that I needed to be near her bkuz I was so numb to pain I always thought I could protect her ..so here is my choice have the chance to reunite with my momma or keep hurting my soulmate my protector by not being able to spend the time we deserved he deserved with him.😪 So I knew it was gonna hurt him but cowardly I told him I didn't want to see him I couldn't bare to look him in his eyes..I thought ever again..We had a common bond through Heavy Metal music I was the METALLICA GIRL I connected with the lyrics 😏 he had surpassed me he was into much heavier stuff IRON MAIDEN!! His blue Jean jacket branded the huge patch on the back it was so bad ass lol I wud jack it from him all the time..🙂and he would let me wear it..I was all about the drummers he the Bass ....2 B continued part 4😬 I lost count..

He wanted to take me to the very first Bat man movie but my warden the mastermind of all my abuse would let us go lye together in friends parents bedroom seen the way he wanted to protect me ,respect me ..She seen the connection and when I asked for permission to go she just would not let me!! 2 B continued part 3..
Okay show is over ..IM on the hunt NIKKI actually nodded to the security to pluck us out and take us backstage and Anna was literally jumping out of her skin !! But l was not there for that..I made my way down I am zig zagging. I spotted my cousin J.J. And I just knew that they would be together...SO I make it to j.j. he is like shocked to see me there I'm like were is mike he said right there I look and Low and behold there he was we looked at each other I felt the connection for like 1 millimeter of a second kuz he shut that shit Down!!Oh I was sick 😖he was not alone !!! I just said who is that?? And J.J. goes that's his girlfriend ain't she cool?? I'm like wtf he said look she even has a tattoo which her sleeve was rolled up for all thee to see the freaking IRON MAIDEN monster I can't remember what they called he had a name it was like their stamp on every thing they cut..Long black straight hair dark brown skin tall taller than him but anyway...fade to Black...I was broken all over again..HATE HATE!! I got drunk soo drunk I actually have no recollection of how I got back or when? I just remember opening my eyes and seeing my momma rubbing the hair outta my face and I just spit it out HATE! Momma he hates me...😪 She put 1 finger to her mouth and said hushh... Hold it in you got tough skin like your daddy...I cryed and she just held me ...And then I heard this booming voice that said make her take that shirt off she cant wear that here!! I snapped back and I looked and I was like how in the hell did I get a shirt???WTH 🤣 ahh shit here I go again...2 B continued part 6 of 6...later gotta let the Demons sleep..
Okay so we are staying with family from my mommas Daddy's side mind you my mom is or was half Black foot Indian so anyway we are staying with them I believe her uncle his wife and her 2 cousins? Wow you think we thrash out at a Metal Concert go take a trip and watch a hardcore Presbyterian catch the spirit 1 time they dance around and the room woa!! Anyway keep in mind the concert is like days away we did not have shit and her family was telling her you shud not allow her to go ..That Devilish shit..But my mother knew exactly why I wanted to go ..She uh idk how she got the money or how she spoke to my uncle Bill (Daddy's) older brother to come pick me up and my cousin Anna was there ....My mom put the money in my hand and said not go see them she said him! I was almost finished and started buffering ...any way idk if anyone is or kud ever be in the same mindset as me..but this I know being battered, abused body is only a vessel no connection to it tainted but I did still have my green eyes that once upon a time during another dumb move I was making met and locked eyes with a pair of greens that were so Beautiful and so intense that I just knew wow? My soulmate he is gonna be the one to protect me...And I literally the felt for the first and the only time ..I knew that I just wanted to be in his arms and stare into those Beautiful green eyes and just kiss him all day ..
