Sociopaths have a high tendency to act off irrationally, live off the edge and act impulsive especially when you call them out on their bad behavior. My ex was a sociopath and was impulsive in his behavior especially when I'd say "no" to protect my boundaries. Narcissists and Sociopath are classified though as cluster B in the personality disorder so there's overlap in some charateristics.
The difference between the two are narcs will feel shame and guilt for the things they do, sociopaths do not they have no remorse, no guilt nor shame. When you criticise a narc they will criticise back. Check out kanika batra she is diagnosed both npd and aspd you can find out the differences from what she describes in her vids.

I actually witnessed my ex morph in a spongebob character in order to attract the attention from this woman on his job!! I was married to him for 22 years and he never ever liked spongebob!!! it's a sad !! These people are animals
