    Thank you so much! Also I found out that the little square thing on the camera’s travel strap has a button that sticks out that helps a lot with opening the battery compartment, not sure if its intentional but it opens perfectly with it so I just thought it was a good little tip

      I just started using the camera and just kept using a penny to open the battery, thanks for that tip!!

    Hello! That "L" on the back dial is actually just supposed to be a line pointing to the self timer icon right above it. That's why it appears as a backward "L". Why they didn't just place the self timer mode in place of the line, I do not know.

      That's a weird quirk haha. Thanks for sharing, I had no idea. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I read the manual for the 65 zoom date, and on the wrist strap there’s a little square with a little plastic but sticking out, it’s actually used to press the buttons

    • @kwilliams5728
      @kwilliams5728 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great advice! is there a way to adjust the strap??

    • @josezuniga3747
      @josezuniga3747 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kwilliams5728 not really aside from using the same square to close it in on your wrist, but another tip, the strap actually measures the minimum focal length of the camera, so if you hold the strap out and your subject is in closer than the tip to the camera, then the camera will not be able to focus on them.

    Hey, great run through off all the features, I recently bought the camera and the video helped a lot!👍 Just wondered what film you use?

    • @ElevationTech
      @ElevationTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm glad the video helped! It's a really fun camera to use. Right now I am working through my rolls of superia xtra 400, one of the cheaper film stocks from fujifilm. Typically I like to use Porta 400 but it is more expensive so sometimes I go for the cheaper stuff :)

    Hi! How do you ensure the film was loaded correctly?

    • @ElevationTech
      @ElevationTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, thanks for the comment! I should have shown this in the video, but you simply pull the film lead across the camera and lay it flat. there is a red line labeled "Film" and you place it there. Once closed, the camera will automatically grab the film and start winding it

    I just grabbed one of these cameras for like $10 on eBay. Curious if a 36 exp roll will work? The manual says it will automatically rewind after 24exp. What’s your experience with this?

    • @ElevationTech

      I've only used 36 exposure rolls in mine without issue. I guess you might have to test it and see

    Was wondering if you knew the type of film that would work in this camera? In the guide it says it needs film marked "DX" but in a google search, it says most regular film at a 400 ISO is now "DX"?
    Edit: Saw you mentioned in another comment which film you used, but still wondering if you know what the "DX" in the manual is referring to?

    • @liasilina
      @liasilina ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Almost any 35mm film would work :) on the box and canister there’s a little symbol that has DX on it.

    • @liasilina
      @liasilina ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The DX symbol means that there’s markings on the canister that allow these point and shoot cameras to automatically set the ISO I think

    • @josezuniga3747
      @josezuniga3747 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@liasilina also I believe it defaults to 125 if there is no dx code

  • @HowardRay2190

    How do you know if the film was actually working and able to be processed? Thank you!

    • @ElevationTech
      @ElevationTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With these little cameras, usually it won't count frames if it doesn't take the film, if that makes sense. When you put the film in and close the door, it tries to start advancing the film. If the frame counter on top goes from 0 to 1, it should be properly working. Once you expose frame 36, it will automatically rewind the film into the canister. At that point you'll just have to get it developed to see if the exposure functions worked correctly. Thanks for watching!

    • @ElevationTech

    • @ElevationTech

      It will automatically rewind when you've shot all 36 photos. once the winding stops, you can unload the same way you load it, with the latch on the left side of the body

    • @ElevationTech

      It sounds like an error message, try taking the battery out and then putting it back in. If that doesn't work, I found a forum post that suggested lightly tugging on the lens, it may not be extending all the way. I hope you're able to fix it!
