THE GEESE WENT CRAZY HOOTING AND THEY STARTED GRAZING AWAY BUT CREPT UP TO THE CAR... AN EXCELLENT RECORDING AND VERY EDUCATIONAL FOR PEOPLE AND CURIOUS CHILDREN ABOUT NATURE
I just took a dump and the sound was so close to my memory of what a canadien Goode sounded like I had to look it up. Spot on. Have a nice day and god bless.
Guys keep in mind that geese can only make a certain amount of noises with their throats. Not every honk and hiss is meant to be hostile. It’s just they were given a limited amount of noises and vocals to make. For their own protection these vocals by default may sound hostile but may not be meant to be hostile such as when a goose wants food from you. It can only ask using the set vocals it was given. So be kind to geese they’re our bread loving friends at the park
Completely agree with this, except for the bread part! For anyone that doesn't know, bread isn't a great food to give birds because it can cause a lot of health issues, particularly digestive ones. If you're going to feed them, it's better to give them something like corn, bits of lettuce, or flax seeds. It's not the end of the world if a bird has some bread - it takes them ingesting a decent amount of bread to cause problems - but if you can avoid giving them bread, I recommend it.
This is exactly what I need for the orphaned Canadian gosling. I'm hoping one day he will leave the nest to be with his own kind. I think this may help him become familiar ❤thanks for this !
There have been 2 of these nuisances hanging around our building, where I work, for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I got about 6’-7’ from them and played this as loud as it would go. They were very interested at first, then made a lot of noise and flew away very quick. Hopefully that’s the last we’ll see of them
