@@TonyWud Au contraire, Anthony. I am a proud, salt-of-the-earth Midwesterner, and B n' R have remained my favorite comedians since 1956. God bless their gentle souls and genuine wit. Would that they were still with us.
@@davidclark4916 Not sure why you are disagreeing with me. I agree with you. I was calling "horse hockey" on the previous comment. I was born and raised in and around the Blue Ridge Mtns of Virginia and I could not agree with you more. I imagine folks like us know and appreciate dry humor as well as any New Yorker.
3:15 Reviewer Bob: I'll never let any of my children see it when they ask me about history. Author Ray "Well - let me put this way - I'll never appear on your program again either!"
Who remembers the South Dakota Governor … Kristi ? … she wrote about about her life staring down a Korean dictator. It never happened. She did not catch the error until her publisher told her. Yesterday’s humor, today’s news.
+Stan Merrell It's the only recording I had of Bob & Ray. Alligator clips on the TV speaker. Held up well from reel to reel, to cassette, and now digital.
The ending reminds me of an old SNL sketch with Dick Cavett playing a man from Nebraska trying to promote a book about his being a "Nebraska Pimp." The book, it turns out, is so bad and the title is so misleading that the host, Chevy Chase, ends the interview by saying, "I'm sure we'll seeing a lot less of you" in the future, before giving him the customary farewell. Here's the script, if you want to relive it. snltranscripts.jt.org/75/75lbooks.phtml
Bob and Ray were without peers in their craft, and still are. What a wonderful pair of comedians.
How does anyone give a thumbs down to Bob and Ray??????????????????????????????????

so many wonderful memories.
"The Civil War starting in 1911." 😄 These guys were great! Good, clean comedy!
I love bob and ray
"Did you check all that at all?"
These guys were so New York. So genuine. And that dry humor is not appreciated by those not in the know (like in the Midwest, LOL)
+MUSICOM PRODUCTIONS Horse hockey.

Not all of these are funny, but this one is very funny. "Well, it's leather bound!"
"I went through the eighth grade."
pretty close to today's schools. My 18 yr grandson doesn't recall learning about Germans WWII or the N's.....
Without peer-
Well-spoken, no profanity, beautifully acted and funny in a very off- beat way.
Here’s to the human odd- ball!
STOA !,,
Evidently, Mr Nelson relied too much on Wikipedia...
Bailey's Mistake, Maine😝😝

I would LOVE to read a false American history book written by Bob & Ray 😂
They still make me laugh after all of these years. Somehow, humor was best when you couldn't be dirty on radio and TV.
Awesome... any recordings of Bob & Ray from late nite ABC in 1972-ish era?

I think Mr. Nelson drank a little too much Piels

Kellyanne Conway is defending all of the glaring errors discussed here.
HAHAHA HAHAHA!

That looks more like Walter Matthau than Ray Goulding
This must be the book in which Donald Trump read about airports of the 1770s.
Reminds me of the pretentious clowns who authored ‘revisionist history’ tomes. Bravo to B&R!
I hear this guy Nelson taught Obama constitutional law.
I hear Nelson was the first tea party scholar credited with the first rewrite of history.
I hear Dr. Nelson called and you've been missing appointments, Sally. Also, CVS called - your prescriptions been ready for pickup for awhile now.
