I was originally against non Salvation Army bands playing this highly devotional music, bearing in mind the composers original intention for the composition. I had the honor to meet and share with Dean Goffin, the composer when I was a young SA Officer. This piece has led many to Christ. I have been really blessed b by the playing of this band, and I am glad it was possible for you to play this music.
This takes me back many years,i was friends with Dean Goffins son,who i met at the National band camp in Tylney Hall,he was later tragically lost at sea.I have played it many times years ago,and still have it on a 78. This is played superbly, with all the passion and emotion that it requires,Was the BM.a salvationist at one time? His interpretation is perfect. An uplifting experience to listen to.
Very good rendition of this piece played at a good tempo. I have heard too many bands spoil this by dragging it along too much or individual sections of the band not staying with the conductor preferring to interpret it at their own tempo. Everybody stayed together in this version.
Written way back in 1950. To my mind, this is Dean Goffin's masterwork. The O&U have given full credit with an inspired performance.
Schitterend gespeeld.
Het is een enorm gepassioneerd stukje muziek. De intentie van het muziekstuk is zeker mooi naar voren gebracht!

@stever69 Thank you for sharing this information. He knows where to find the best of brass band music.
I am in total agreement

Er zijn klanken hemelse klanken als je zoekt naar het GODS accoord. Het wordt harmonie en schoonheid als je ziel GODS tonen hoort
