The Diablo is so underrated in mainstream 1:64, I've hardly seen any outside of Tomica while others like the Murciélago, Aventador, Gallardo, all get dozens of versions and releases. BTW, this casting is a Diablo VT, so it can't/ shouldn't have the SV decals.
Love the Diablo! I’m not really a MBX fan but these premium castings are getting better and better. I hope Mattel brings over the new tooling of the Diablo to hot wheels
Great set of castings in mix P! I'm cautiously excited for all but the Bronco. I say "cautiously" because odds are I'll never see these in stores. Mattel and it's retail partners do an absolute horrible job with distributing this line! So no, WE DO NOT NEED CHASES IN MBX COLLECTORS SERIES!!! Every model is a chase already!

The distribution on these is just stupid. The only store that has these is TARGET. Good luck getting anything good at Target. The way the employees at Target run those stores, you might as well just forget it. The other option is: you can pay $20 a piece for these from online hobby dealers. So basically..... don't even bother. The only one I really want is the NASA Chariot, and I am not paying $20 for it. Only 1 per case. So basically it is like a Super Treasure Hunt.
Looking forward to the Mercedes Benz W123 wagon. Did you just say metal base is in the pipeline for Matchbox’s premium lines such as Matchbox Collectors set? I really hope that Mattel has it in the works for their orange brand. Matchbox deserves a little bit of more attention and love from Mattel and it deserves metal bases on the their premium cars. And a new set of rubber tires. It would make matchbox collectors, like me, go crazy for their premium lines
MR2 - Open / closed headlights? Would have been super cool if *that* was the moving part. Drag Beetle - “Moon Eyes always wins.” 👀? I suppose Walter Keane paintings are also a *big* favorite. I would have that Mazda over the Beetle any day. Diablo - Very nice, and at least it didn’t get Hot Wheels wheels (meh).
Nice cars, but hard to collect mixes you can't find at retail. I'm not finding any of these Matchbox Collector cars. Mattel has a real problem with distribution right now and I assume that stems from production issues in Asia.
I'm never gonna be able to see these on shelves. People are refusing to buy the Range Rover Sport all the way back from 2020, and the pegs are full of them.
Found two of the white Bronco Super Chases and the Ford GT yesterday. I hope to find the as well Diablo. Those sets are barely making it to the shelves!!
I thought these were pretty sweet looking in pictures but my god is the wheel choices and sizing horrible on these…definitely won’t be picking these up now. Mr2 is cool though.
