This song is amazing. Danny Worsnop has such a rock voice, and the band can sustain such a classic metal style. I love it so much. It shows how much AA has grown as a band over the past years. I can't wait to hear what comes next for AA in the near future.
"Moving On" A boy of anguish now, he's a man of soul, Traded in his misery for the lonely life of the road. The years were cruel to him no, He won't let them go. Lays awake tryna' find the man inside to pack his bags and escape this world. I've never been so torn up in all of my life, I should have seen this coming. I've never felt so hopeless, Than I do tonight. I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on. He wanted to change the world, to make it all worthwhile. So he put his pen to paper and poured out everything inside. He's read the scene and unpacked the man the he'd became Slowly but truly on the fast track to falling into his grave. I've never been so torn up in all of my life, I should have seen this coming. I've never felt so hopeless, Than I do tonight. I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on. I can't believe I've come so far in such short time, And I'm still fighting on my own. If I try to catch my breath I may never breathe again, so just know this: I've never been so torn up in all of my life, I can't believe I let myself break down. I've never been so torn up in all of my life, I should have seen this coming. I've never felt so hopeless, Than I do tonight. I don't wanna do this anymore... I've never been so torn up in all of my life, I should have seen this coming. I've never felt so hopeless, Than I do tonight. No I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on. A boy of anguish now, he's a man of soul, Traded in his misery for the lonely life of the road.
i listen to this song way too much. way. too. much. literally come back to it every other song. truly one of the best songs this amazing band has recorded. well played AA, well played.
This is literally the first song I've heard of Asking Alexandria, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT !! I love this type of music without all of the screaming :) Keep up the good work guys !
Anyone else think his voice now resembles the vocalist from Avenged Sevenfold due to how rough it sounds and the range? Kinda ironic considering that both vocalists recovered from surgery on their vocal chords and continued their career.
I dunno I kinda get an eagles feel from this song especially but yeah it's weird.. "hey shadows, initiate plan 80's!" "Yeah buddyyyyyy" Both still amazing singers and can both scream still very well if I may say so :)
I dont know why everyone is saying this album sucked, first off i think its the best one of all, also im almost certain they said this was their highest selling album. so how can it be shit? just thought id share.
This is phenomenal! His voice is absolutely amazing! If you know of anymore of their songs where he only sings, please post the names here. I already know about "The Death of Me" and "Someone Somewhere," but I really wanna see the others if there are any!
I love the loud screaming and exhaling but man do I miss good old rock and roll. Respect to AA for recording such a good song. This hits my soul every time I listen to it.
I was a fan from the beginning and thus album by far is the most meaningful and deepest album put out by AA. As a recovering addict myself, I can truly relate to Danny . This album means so much to me. AA all the way.
I really want a poster of this album art. The metaphorical situation is really creative and leaves opportunity for interpretation to what the band is focusing on. My interpretation is, Death=partying, Destiny=getting clean and focus on the music. If those two words were to be associated with their work it would probably be SUAS and R&R represent death and FDTD represents the destiny aspect. I assume that drugs, alcohol and partying is like candy to some people (the vending machine). The woman in the vending machine seems to represent undisputed sexual debauchery packaged into an atmosphere of unprecedented drug, alcohol consumption and partying. (Again the vending machine). Danny letting his money drop to the floor and directing his attention toward the brightly lit arena means that he cares more about the music than the debauchery that once went on. Plus it just looks sweet
I went to their concert in February and when they were playing this song i was so happy, i couldn't stop smiling because Danny looks happier, healthier, he is the best version of himself now and I'm proud of the person he has become
This needs a music video. About a relationship with someone really special. I played this for my girlfriend she cried on my shoulder. She thought i was going to dump her. I told her how much i loved her when i should her this.
Well, congratulations Asking Alexandria. You finally managed to impress me. No matter how much the scene kids whine about the lack of chugging or the lack of Danny's whiny emo singing, you have still created something that will be remembered for far longer than Stand Up And Scream. Good job, gentlemen.
As an 80s kid, I appreciate the hell out of this song. Especially considering these guys didn't hear this type of music regularly when they were kids. Good job AA! You payed great homage to 80s hair bands!
I think people need to just stop complaning about Danny's voice changing, Bc the fact that he still can sing like that even after fucking up his vocal cords is just amazing. Thats why he's one of my favorites
anyone who says From Death To Destiny isn't any good because it doesn't sound like their other albums must not understand that real musicians don't just write albums that sound like what everyone else is doing doesn't make you a great musician, what makes a good musician is putting your heart and soul into your music. Danny did a great job at WRITING a song. Keep up the great work AA I'm a bigger fan now then I ever was before!
Music video idea. Show everything they went through from the beginning till now. Leaving home, Sleeping in the van in the parking lots, his addiction take control, the overdose, rehab, now.
- I've never been so torn up in all of my life I should of seen this coming I've never felt so hopeless Than I do tonight I don't wanna do this anymore, I'm moving on - ♪♫
They played a bit of this song during the Revolver Golden Gods and I searched and searched for this song, but never found it... Now I know why. And man am I glad it's finally here. This is definitely the power ballad of the album. I love this song so much
I can't believe Danny had to leave, I've tried listening to Dennis (new singer) but just can't accept the change...dennis doesn't have the power that Danny has its just not the same....so I'm just gng to stay committed to the original asking Alexandria!!!
I can see your painting always doing drugs and singing like the videos would be bad ass cause the videos I've seen are awesome.. I just think when Danny was with asking they all wrote the best music still to today . And I think Denis tries to hard to sing like Danny...no way Danny was da bomb..I personally like Denis with his old band they were bad ass ..
+Art Dybowski Denis dosnt try to be like Danny. Unlike Danny,Denis takes care of himself and dosnt show up to shows fucked up. Also,I believe that Denis puts so much morr effort into everything than Danny dose. Its so clear to see.
His voice is very perfect, why he always screams in other songs? I think they should do more songs like this, without scream) P.s. sorry for my bad English)
im not a fan of Asking Alexandria... their old songs (ie. "the final episode" and "not the american average") made me question why these guys were a signed band. but this song shows that even the worst bands can get better in time. this song is OK. reminds me of avenged sevenfold or something
Bands change. Are you guys stupid, stop hating on them . You don't like their songs? Don't listen to them, simple as that. You don't accomplish anything commenting how much you hate them. From Death To Destiny has a lot of meaningful songs.
heard this song months ago at Golden Gods awards and having been searching for who the Hell it was ever since and now finally I found it. Have to say this song has turned me into a big Asking Alexandria fan. This song is great.
By far one of their best songs without screaming

Anyone else think his voice now resembles the vocalist from Avenged Sevenfold due to how rough it sounds and the range? Kinda ironic considering that both vocalists recovered from surgery on their vocal chords and continued their career.

Yeah. I mean that is literally the EXACT opposite of irony, but y'know...
Wicked Joe My thoughts exactly. haha
Some of us are struggling with break ups... He speaks for us.

When the song ended I was expecting it to play "The Road" but then I realized I was on TH-cam lol.
Really brings back a more classic feel.. Music being little more simple, with an epic vocal chorus
This sounds absolutly nothing like AA's other songs... I fucking love it! Its the oddball of the From Death to Destiny album.
