The earlier your growth spur is the shorter you'll become in most cases. Because the height from the growth spur is added ontop of your natural height so late bloomers usually become taller.
My father had been reported to have said I would be the tallest child he would have when I was in age six or seven and in normal height. His prophecy came out to be true. Out of 22 children he had with my mother and aunt, I am the the tallest one at 6'3".

I was 5' 3" at 14. My mom was 5'😢 4" she asked me when I was going to grow. The lowest moment in my life. I grew a bit over 6 feet, like 6 and 1/4, or maybe 1!/2. My younger brother went straight to 6' 3". Life is not fair. I wanted Superman height.
The first guest was Jennifer Connelly (Blood Diamond) and the musical guest was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (Sinner). Jason just had HIMYM to shill. I think Jason's first movie he was speaking of was Can't Hardly Wait.
Life is so unexpected huh. You would expect a 6’4 12 years old kid to be like 7 foot grown up or something but who would have thought that a 6’4 12 years old kid would remain 6’4 forever and Conan who was short would shot up crazy at 20 and grow to 6’4. These two guys describe the definition of a very early bloomer and a very late bloomer perfectly.
@@footballfan283 Will Smith and Pierce Brosnan also come to mind. Smith reached the height of 6'2" at age 13 and now at 54 is still 6'2". Brosnan is/was 6'1" (likely shrunk a fraction of height with age hence the is/was), but at age 11 was almost 6 feet tall.
@@reylo99 it’s a matter of genetics. My father also grew a lot between 11-13 and then he was growing slowly till 18 years old. Same thing happened to me. I was an early bloomer myself but I kept growing I added another 4 inches after my big growth spurt. To be honest I wouldn’t mind being an early bloomer or late bloomer as long as my final adult height would be like 6’2-6’4 I would be good with every scenario. But usually kids who get super tall very early stop growing early as well. When I was 13 I was 5’10 my friends were like 5’6 and when I met them at 17 I was 6’1 and they were 6 foot they were surprised of course I was taller but they used to look up to me and now I was only an inch taller. @@footballfan283 did your friends ever think they would surpass you despite having a later puberty? I mean, I did mention to you before that an earlier puberty doesn't necessarily mean ending up short or average in height and that having a later puberty doesn't mean being tall. I like how you brought up two types of early bloomers on a few occasions: those who stop growing when they're like 12-14, and those that shoot up early but still grow after 14, just at a slower pace. As with the first scenario, it can be tough for a male to stop growing in height at the ages of 12-14, especially if his height ends up being way less than average. The shorter they end up, the more awkward it sounds. It would be totally embarrassing for a boy to reach 5'3" at 14, only to never grow even another millimeter of height after that. I wonder what the age equivalent would be for girls in the first scenario since they almost always start puberty before boys do. If it's 12-14 in boys, it must be 9-11 in girls.
I coach basketball and I've seen many examples of kids who were shorter than everyone that become one of the tallest. You'd think you'd tell by the parent's height but not always.
