I will say, everybody should check out the Mac mini with the M3 or M4 chip. You could literally get it at Costco right now for about $600 USD or $789 CAD. Great vid!

I literally just had all of my recording equipment stolen from me while I was in the hospital getting diagnosed with something that is well… Let’s just be blunt here. It’s going to end my life a lot quicker than it should.
I’m used to recording everything with hardware and had a good 20 K built up in such gear and now it’s all just gone
Someone actually got me a M4 Mac mini with a little extra SSD external storage (don’t have keyboard or screen monitor yet so if you have any suggestions, shoot them my way, ) anyways my friend, who got the M4 knew it was pretty much a must that I get this music released before my time is up but as far doing everything digitally goes.
I’M LITERALLY IN THE DARK. Especially since I did everything like most actual studios did five years ago
So for guitar, I went ahead and downloaded a few NDSP plug-ins since they were 50% off and I don’t have any amps now so I’ve got that part covered
But as far as bass guitar and drums go, I don’t have the slightest idea on how to make beats digitally? I mean, I saw some drum packs that I liked and of course with basketball guitar submission audio caught my eye.
But how do I use them? Do I have to literally do everything on a midi controller like what you showed?
What’s crazy is before all this I could’ve just laid down a beat for whatever because I came out of the womb with drumsticks in my hand .
Sorry, I’m writing a novel here but if you could point me in the right direction or give me some info on what would help me get to where I need to be please let me know

@@feedthewolf6930 no worries on the novel haha
sorry to hear about your medical condition! praying for your recovery 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
to answer question the best i can, most drum packs have midi stems that you can literally drag on to your project and you can adjust the velocity, attack and release, or even the notes on the midi track. I have a video on drums you can check out as well that goes into more detail. i hope im answering your question and if not i can make a video about it to go over the basics. Make sure to sub to be notified.
best of luck and happy holidays!

@@iammicrowav i’m sure not just for me but for a lot of people basics like that would help especially for drums and base for those of us who were used to doing it how we all used to have to do it and now everything is digital so
But yeah, I kinda get what you mean to an extent
Thanks for sending good vibes my way 🙏

@@iammicrowav oh yeah, when you were talking about just basically dragging samples and altering them, what about making your own beats and baselines with the mid stuff?
My first instrument was drums, so of course I’m gonna have my own ideas as far as it takes
As far as guitar goes, I’m probably gonna end up getting one of the submission audio basketball guitars just don’t know which one yet would be best for the whole Breaking Benjamin Ish type of sound since I don’t ever do anything digitally well until now anyways… when it comes to basketball, I don’t mind just dragging and dropping something or editing it but at the same time it’s like OK well, if I’m going to make my own drum beat or baseline do I have to use a keyboard? Like a midi controller? What’s the best option affordability wise for that type of stuff?
Edit also I know stuff like submission audio and GGD or some other drum sample packs are quite large so is it best to store them on SSD? Luckily the M4 mini is showing up soon and then I’m gonna piece everything together, but I gotta figure this out first. I mean I’ve got the majority of everything else I need as far as equipment goes except for like media cables or whatever kind of cables I’m gonna need Since this is my first Mac mini and I’ll be using Logic Pro.
Basically, the only two actual things that are real. I’m recording our guitar and vocals
