This is the unprecedented K-pop girl group. All members are good singers, dancers, rappers, performers covering almost full range of popular songs from rock to EDM.
I agree, I saw Mamamoo live and I'm a Moomoo, and that's the only group that could be compared to Nmixx, but there's no comparison. What Nmixx is doing is just incredible, that level of performance was never achieved before.
That's true. I know the aren't the more recognized of the industry, but, being objective, they are the best and more talented. They speak on the stage.
6:20 love it whenever haewon introduces herself as the leader. sounds like the crowd are already kpop/nmixx fans. but haewon absolutely deserves for the first thing any new fans know about her to be that she is the leader. she's more than earned that title/recognition through her hard work, dedication and care for the members. on top of being a total gem in heart and humor.
NMIXX's talent is not only on a whole another level. It's in a whole different dimension. The level of mastery of vocal techniques these girls have is ridiculous! And to think that they've only debuted 2 years ago. What I really love about them, is that they are never stagnant. Each and every member continuously grows every come back. I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan. I have actually been a fan since pre debut. After seeing the sheer amount of talent they possess, I knew right away that they are more than special. I'm actually a musician and vocalist, I used to hate kpop and just pop in general. I was never a fan of lip syncing, and pop music in general never translates well into live performances. I thought kpop didn't really have good a reputation vocally. But NMIXX proved me wrong. I'm always surrounded with other musicians, and they had the same views when it comes to kpop. But whenever I show them NMIXX performances, especially their stage practices wherein you can hear raw live vocals while dancing, my musician friends are just left in awe. Also, I love how they actually shared the stage with stray kids for 2 festivals. Stray kids didn't have the best reception upon debut. But look at where they are now. Mark my words! Soon the whole world will know the name. NMIXX 🐳.

I have watched thousands of music show performances, awards performances, end of the year music shows, and many others ever since I've gotten into KPOP. 7 out of 10 performances are straight up lip syncing. 2 out of the 10 are performed with really loud back tracks that you can barely hear the actual live singing. Only 1 out of every 10 performances are actually being sung live. I never said that NMIXX is the only one who performs live. Also, there are very few groups who are vocally strong, wherein all members are actually strong vocalists. In my opinion, no one in KPOP at the moment is at the same vocal mastery level as NMIXX. Also why bring the Japanese into this conversation? Personally I can't comment about JPOP since I haven't been exposed much to it. Anyway, like I said, these are simply my opinions based on experience.

Most 4th gen kpop groups contain 1 or 2 vocally ‘strong’ members then the rest are ok & there usually is a member who is completely vocally incompetent. Bae being the weakest vocally in nmixx is still competent. Imagine losing an all rounder member (jinni) and still being the most well rounded group of your generation. Imagine so often singing live that your fans WANT you to lip sync to rest vocally. Truly an astounding line up & I will never stop reinstating this.
@@amethyst034 To be honest, I don't think Bae is the weakest in NMIXX, especially from a technical standpoint. As a matter of fact, I don't think they have any weaknesses vocally. Because each member quite literally brings their own unique vocal colors. That's what makes NMIXX who they are. The members complete and compliment each other's vocals. Also, I think to describe Bae's vocals as competent is quite an understatement. Bae actually has a very good understanding of vocal techniques, and she's also mastered more advanced techniques that are rarely used and heard in KPOP. She already knows what she wants her tone to sound like. I just don't think she's had enough solo singing gigs to figure out how, when, and where, she wants to apply the vocal techniques she has in her repertoire. So that she can figure out her personal style of singing. If I'm correct, the only solo gig she's had so far is Lee Mujin Service. While Lily, Haewon, and Sullyoon had more opportunities to do so. Anyway, I agree about NMIXX and Aespa being the unique groups that they are. Once you hear a song of theirs, you can identify right away that it's an NMIXX or Aespa song. This is why I listen and admire them, because they don't follow the trends, they make the music they want to make! True artists indeed!

I think they're such a talented vocal group. I just don't know if they need to dance around so much. I'd pay to see them just sing their freaking hearts out without them needing to compromise their breath control so much.
They did good tho. Compared to previous gg's who had to lessen the choreo just for them to be properly heard just shows how bad the dedication & training they have. Nmixx is known for mostly being balanced from having fast paced choreo & difficult songs. But look at NMIXX, they balanced it out meaning that they indeed can do both of dancing & singing without having to sacrifice one just to be audible for their microphone.
